Can Pope change the culture at BYU?

because they both looked like deer in the headlights out there. George is lacking experience, Knell is just another good HS player from Utah.

I think the expectations need to be realistic and raised. Then they won’t exceed those expectations every season with a one and done NCAA loss or NIT bid.

Disagree. 20 points against Gonzaga puts that argument to rest. George has some things to work on like dribbling. We needed to go 10 deep against UCLA and run them tired. We didn’t do that.

The big scoring game against Gonzaga was an anomaly. It was one game. He averaged 6 pts. a game on the season and never really had any other big games that I can remember. In his 11 min. vs UCLA his line was all zeros… not a point, rebound or assist except he had 1 turnover. He also missed his only 3 attempt. That is called “deer in the headlights”.

Maybe he will improve next season and be more consistent.
