If he is healthy and still wants to play football he should play for BYU. Mangum can redshirt and have 2 or 3 full years left as a starter. Jim McMahon redshirted in 1979 and Mark Wilson was a consensus All American that year. McMahon was a consensus All American in 80 and 81. It worked out great for everybody. It seems nobody has considered this possibility. If Hill is injured again they can take the redshirt off Mangum. I don’t see why Mr. Kragthorpe didn’t consider that as an option. Maybe because he writes for the Tribune so the only viable option in Mr. Kraghtorpe’s mind is for Hill to transfer someplace else.
