Arkie, I too have had some rough times trying to live the gospel. It was EASY when I believed EVERYTHING. God has a plan for all of us, you just have to trust him. Unfortunately, reality leaves me with my doubts.

It would have been easy to leave along with so many good people but, there is no better way to raise a family and no better influence for good on this planet. I travel the world and LDS members are a safe haven anywhere, so I will tell you a truth that works for me…hope it works for you…

If you look for bad, you will find it. If you look for good, you will find it.
Don’t throw the 99 good things out because you find one bad thing.

Hope that helps.

We must pray for the Lord to guide and bless all nations and their leaders…

Fish,
You are a prime example of what I was trying to say to arkie about having open and Frank discussions about one’s beliefs.

In a discussion we had several years ago, you helped me understand your view on “Gays” and that entails. Because of it, I was able to change my attitude about that issue and how it relates to my understanding of the gospel.

The problem today, is that no one wants to talk things through, just condemn or combat other people opinions because they are different.
