I generally like what Trump does, but the government needs to stay out of college sports. I suspect somebody will file litigation over this. It sounds like government overreach to me. There are enough bigger problems for Trump to tackle. Sports is entertainment.

Well, Trump is working on all other projects that need attention. One more doesn’t take away from what he’s doing elsewhere.
Unfortunately, the NCAA is unable to handle the problems currently destroying college sports. First, the masses hated the NCAA for being like a communist country. Litigation took power away from the NCAA and anarchy is happening in college sports. Now, many colleges receive federal funds. Why then is it overreaching for the federal government to provide guidance and take away anarchy?

I agree. The money needs to be regulated for equal opportunity for schools. But, this NIL is also at the high school level as well. In our area, there are some athletes making good income at the high school level. I was talking with a local high school principal yesterday if she had the NIL issue. The answer was one of their top athletes heading to a Big Ten school was paid $100,000 his senior year.

what? High school kids getting NIL deal??? Ridiculous!!! And yes, everything is out of control in terms of sports so what next Elementary kids will get a NILD? I’m sorry what happened to scholarship program in college sports? Are they still doing it or did they do away with scholarship? And who knows one of these days college sports would be gone anyway whatever
