Witt's new contract

Yes Jim, I have gotten that feeling for a long time.

hey we all have bad weeks… right?

Good answer.

Floyd, I totally agree with you.

Comparison between Wit and Bronco:
This would have to include Urban Myer.

Urban Myer with his genius coaching which many BYU fans could rightfully hate, taught Whit and added to the ability that Wit already had, making it easier for Wit to become very successful after Urban left.

Once Utah was able to go to two BCS bowls and win vs. P5 teams, this got Utah invited into a P5 conference, (Pac 10/12)

During this time, Bronco was not able to get us into a BCS Bowl. We were not able to beat a P5 team in a BCS Bowl, we were not invited into a P5 conference.

Wit, now in a P5 conference was able to recruit more power 5 type players. BYU did not have this advantage.

The gap widened between accomplishments of Wit and accomplishments of Bronco. With greater accomplishments, Wit got more money. With lesser accomplishments, Bronco, until he left for Va. got less money.

Now that Bronco is in a Power conference, (Va Big 10), he now makes 3 times more money that he did at BYU, but still less than Witt. Witt has more success in the Pac 12 than Bronco gets in the Big 10.

Bronco spent more time promoting slogans. Wit spent more time promoting football.

This is where the comparison stops. I try to be as objective as possible.

not that simple, BYU is known not to play on Sunday’s and will not have anything to do with LBGT community. Prop 8 and our standards kept us out.

Utah got into a P-5 conference because they are a state sponsored school with no prophet at the head of their Board of Directors. BYU is excluded from P-5 conferences because they are sponsored by the LDS Church with a Prophet at the Head of the Board of Directors. BYU is not in a P-5 conference because the enemies of the LDS Church and the LDS Plan of Salvation will do whatever it takes to keep BYU out of such P-5 conferences.

And I am totally fine with it.

Actually Utah got into the P5 Conference because:

a) they had two stellar years when they went to a BCS bowl.
B) they have a medical research department that is very well recognized in the world as one of the best. For some reason the research facilities are important to the PAC-12.

If people (BYU fans) were honest with themselves they would admit BYU has done nothing spectacular to attract a P5 conference bid… Seriously, what has BYU really done in the Mendenhall era.

Yes, we had 10 win seasons multiple times, but have we gone to a BCS bowl? how many upper tiered P5 schools did we beat?

BYU football reputation is based on what LaVell did from 1979-2000, but what has BYU accomplished since 2001 when he retired?

You can say there is a religious bias all you want, but it does not make it true. it is actually an excuse people use when they don’t want to face reality.

BYU has not been in a BCS Bowl,
BYU has not consistently beat upper tiered P-5 teams over the years.
BYU has not maintain a top 15 polling…

These are just a few reasons why BYU is not in a P-5.

Come on fish!!!

Stop making lame excuses.
When has the Utah Utes ever played a football game on Sunday?

Of the approximate 65 P5 football teams, during the past 10 years, how many of them have played a football game on a Sunday??? What about the past 20 years? 30 years? How about in your lifetime?

Stop using the (No Sunday Play) and the (Honor Code) for our excuse not to succeed. When we don’t succeed, it is because we don’t give the full commitment to the football and basketball programs that successful Universities give to their programs.
