Love the comments here. You all need to chill on the Isaac Wilson stuff. His family are big Cougar supporters. His mom his been posting BYU stuff over the weekend with blue hearts etc.
They are a good family. Zach is building a house in Utah County. Everyone needs to chill a bit. You are not helping the program. Just show a little class.
Isaac is going to be good. It would be a plus if he transfers to BYU. We need 4 and 5 star QBs coming to BYU.
I don’t know if Wilson’s are big BYU fans. Zach’s mom is a work and they only gave BYU a nod when Witt passed on taking Zach out of HS. Issac might end up as a decent QB but the odds are against it. Especially at Utah where their offense is as bad as BYU’s over the last 3 years. A HS qb shouldn’t be going to Utah or BYU right now if they want to play in the NFL! Utah and BYU both are deficient in OC’s!
Welcome ChiCoug! I haven’t been part of the Wilson thing other than I thought Zach’s stock was overinflated for having played an entire season vs the JV Schedule. I do think he showed in NY that he can play. I don’t know anything about the family’s loyalties but will say regarding Isaac W that I think any QB at UofU right now is in a tough situation and if it were me I’d bolt to somewhere else.
If news reports are correct, they played Rising an entire game and Rose half a game with season ending injuries. For me that fits someplace between idiotic and cruel.
They are huge BYU fans. Three of their sons went there. They watched the BYU Kansas game with former BYU players and took the loss as hard as most of us. BYU fans like to take Isaac’s decision personal but at the time Utah looked like a top 10 team and BYU was predicted to win 4.5 games. Also his dad played for the U. Nobody should take that decision personal. There is too much sour milk on this board for how much his family has done for BYU and supported the team.
Zack played for BYU. What else is the “so much they have done for this program” tag line. What else has the family done for BYU? I can name a few things in the dept of very bad PR that family has done but no need to go there.

why do people care about this stuff. it like finding out one of your friends got an android phone and going to their significant other and questioning their loyalty to apple. people are going to do what is best for themselves and we don’t have any say over it. I have a friend who is a big byu fan and works at the U, should I go chastise her about her loyalty.
I know @Floyd_Edwards had some personal dealings with the Wilson’s that put a bad taste in his mouth. he had every right to feel the way he did, but we need to see it for what it is. his experience. I can have a different opinion and still respect his.
It’s just this kind of attitude that is bad for the program. I don’t need to list of everything but he’s one of the best players in the last decade, three of their sons went to BYU, they publicly support the school still and you see Zach at games. Did I mention Zach is building a house near BYU? Why bite the hand that fed you. Just show some class.
I just find it ironic that a new poster arrives in the forum having never commented before here …. And tells the forum to have class as it relates to the Wilson clan who are big supporters of the university. I don’t know of any issue on this forum that shows it is classless against the Wilson’s??! But I do know of a few issues that are very bad PR for BYU that relate to the Wilson family. My question to the new poster is to give us a list of things that show the Wilson family as “big supporters” of the school …. Other than Z Wilson playing for 3 years for BYU and 2 other brothers being on the team for awhile.
Obviously I know their family. Have you watched his mom’s instagram lately? It is covered with BYU comments and blue hearts. Videos of them watching the BYU game with former BYU players. Went to the Broncos game with former BYU players yesterday. They helped recruit a lot of players. I’m just saying allover X and BYU boards everyone is trashing Isaac saying BYU would be stupid to have him etc. Maybe that is true or maybe it isn’t. It just doesn’t help the program to trash family’s of some of the best players we’ve recently had.
No I don’t follow his mom on IG. You probably don’t want me to list why as that would be classless …. even if true. If other forums are trashing Isaak then it might be good to post replies to them on the correct forum. Otherwise, I stand by my observation that he shouldn’t come to BYU and neither should any HS QB who wants to be correctly coached and have a chance at the NFL. Jake will never get onto a NFL roster - ever. His throwing mechanics are terrible. ARod is his qb coach and Utah showed exactly what good defenses will do to a side armed, low release QB!
Wilson won’t win at Utah and he will not have e good experience with ARod here. He better look for greener pastures and a better QB coach and OC!

As I recall, Zack 100% impressed the NFL teams in his Combine showing. Going to the Jets and not having the opportunity to play behind and all-NFL QB was unfortunate as well as how bad the Jets are. Hopefully he gets another shot.

who grasshopper? don’t worry about him. if you stick around long enough you will argue with everyone, but mostly with him.
honestly this is better then cougarboard. smaller group where you can get into a good honest discussion/disagreement and not feel like your being attacked. it functions more like a dysfunctional family 
so stick around and enjoy the fun. we always have a in game discussion during the game (ok me and hopper mostly do) and lively discussions after.

We have no idea who ChiCougar is but we welcome him in, in spite of the fact that he chastises everyone with baseless claims of people being classless. This is just an opinion forum and you are entitled to your opinion ChiCougar but when someone comes on here and accuses a group of doing something without real facts to back it up and then admits he is on the wrong board, it probably isn’t going to go real well.
I, for one, enjoy differing opinions than my own and recognize/admit that I don’t know everything even though I feel strongly about my perspective. I am okay with others criticizing what I post and am not easily offended.
Lastly, I am glad you are defending the Wilson family, because it appears that they are taking a lot of heat, over on COUGARBOARD! I think it is okay for peopole to share personal experiences they have had with someone here on this board. I hope we are all adult enough to realize that if you aren’t there at the time something occurs, you can’t really know what it was like and even then peoples perspectives differ from person to person even when they are looking at the same exact thing.

I happen to like thawk’s takes. I think he is knowledgeable and knows his stuff for the most part. I’m disappointed that he offends you Hopper but that is your issue, not mine. I offend you and call you out all the time and I think you consider me a good friend so there’s that.
