Use some reasonable deduction. I was talking about three pointers. That might be a conclusion you could draw, especially since I mentioned the number of free throws in that same post. Ugghh… it doesn’t have to be spelled out in simple terms does it? I was responding to Floyd and he mentioned that BYU typically shoots three popinters at a high rate, second in the nation.

BYU has ALWAYS been poor at getting to the FT line. Slow white boys don’t get to the rim as they are too busy launching 3s. That is been our MO since the 3 point line was created. BYU gets to the FT line 12.8% of possessions. Utah in contrast lives by getting to the line…57% of the time so no surprises there. It has been a stat that I have pointed out on many occasions.

There is truth in what Floyd says.

How about this explanation for the FT discrepancy (despite BYU out scoring Utah in the paint, meaning BYU was at least equal in aggressively drawing contact on shot attempts): : Tony Padilla was the official. Padilla is a terrible official, known in the basketball world as a ref who simply makes up calls, and loves being the big man on campus, and thus pretty much is universally hated, because nobody wants the refs to suck. I could point out 4 key calls late in the game that were blown—all EASY and OBVIOUS to any official—and all went against BYU.

In this particular game, BYU was robbed but then I did not watch it as I endured (Yes, Endured) our 1st 4 possessions then turned the game off…I had seen enough. Demin started the game with a airball 3 and ended the show in similar fashion. I also watched Mag hit a 3, turn to the Utah bench and made a point, got that T, in the same manner that Knell got T’ed up. NO REASON.

BYU is terrible right now. I may watch tonight but it is no fun watching our Point guards choke.
I just want to know Who stole Hall, and where did they hide the body?

That T on Mag was Tony Padilla. He wants everyone to know that he can do anything he wants, rules, standards, and even the outcome of the game be damned. His ego is more important to him than being a good official. Remember Nixon from the Bad Old Days in the WCC? Same thing. Mag did nothing that doesn’t happen dozens of times in every D1 game, but the official wanted to establish his dominance over the players and picked on the first guy he saw. Does he hate BYU? IDK. Is he a terrible official? Anyone who saw the game could answer that. His partner in that game is 65 and could barely get up and down the court, much less stay in position. It was an embarrassment.

Again, BYU lost because BYU’s offense SUCKS, not because of the officiating.

This a million times. I don’t understand the change in hall? Is he trying to defer to Demin? Young says that Hall has lost some of his aggression, and he plays better when he is aggressive.

Is he being coached to walk the ball up the court, even when they have numbers, and waste the first 15 seconds of the possession holding the ball out top? It is so aggravating I can hardly stand it. I yell at the TV “what are you waiting for?” and why the deliberate and obvious passing and screening that gives no indication that a shot is even considered until the final 5-10 seconds? It is absolutely mind boggling why it is done this way every time.

Why should someone explain something that was completely clear to every other person who read it besides you? I have given you a hard time for your inability to understand what is being written but this last one is laughable. How did you confuse what Larimer wrote?

Where is the confusion? He complimented Saunders and followed that up with saying the BYU offense is cringeworthy. How is that confusing? You really need to read a post several times before responding. The weird thing is even after it was explained to you by several people you still didn’t get it. How is that possible?
