A conservative voice is cancelled, Rush

Rush Limbaugh passed away today at age 70. Limbaugh fought hard against cancel culture. His unique way of peeling back the layers of the onion and logically explaining the onion in complete clarity. This is a great loss for conservative values including freedoms the 1st Amendment affords all of us.

I remember first hearing Rush on the radio while driving to Houston for a job interview around 1990. It was at the time of the first Iraq War. I was hooked. He voiced exactly what I believed in regard to politics. Contrary to what many people have believed over the years Rush did not brainwash his radio audience he connected with them because he was able to state with clarity and humor what they already believed and was able to point out the ridiculousness of much of politically correct liberal thought. I listened to him off and on for around 30 years whenever I was not in an office where it wasn’t feasible to listen to him. What a great loss. Rush Limbaugh made talk radio and provided an alternative to news that had a decidedly liberal slant. Fortunately there are many conservative talk radio hosts now to carry the torch but he was one of the first and the best. He was the first of his kind and paved the way for Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, Dennis Prager, Ben Shapiro, Larry Elder, Larura Ingraham, Michael Savage, and many others. RIP Rush.
