Best Major Coaching Hire

So the Cascade:
Calipari
Pope
Young

For my money Kyle Smith at Stanford is the most likely to succeed if major bball has a turn around artist Kyle Smith is it.

Highest likelihood of long term success toss-up between Pope and Young…BBN is a massive head start. BYU is a sleeping giant thas has been unfettered.

BYU/KYU rank even higher than some blue-bloods. If money matters, and we know it does, and coaching matters, and we know it does, KY has all the tools to make Sweet 16 consistently with some reaches higher…blue goggles galore…lol

NBA coaches have often failed to fulfill the dreams of their NCAA schools. This article talking about the difference between Coach Cal’s and Coach Pope’s practices refers to the differences between NBA and NCAA practices…just one of my ongoing concerns with the future of KYU.

completely agree, not sure it will happen this year, Pope is a known quantity, KYU not quite so much…though Lunardi is still picking BYU in the upper half of the B12

as Lunardi should! BYU was in the upper half last season. We have the same core minus Robinson but additions of Eger, Catchings, Keba, Mag. all top 100 players. yikes.
