This is not the team that BYU blew out by 30 in Vegas last year. Coach Hurley has retained good talent while adding two 5 star recruits and a star from the portal. They have a better record then BYU (both 9-2 you say) because BYU has not bean anyone and lost games we were favored in while ASU beat 3 very good teams Grand Canyon, SMC, NMU, something BYU has let to do. Why we are ranked #30 to ASU’s 65 is a mystery to me.

Were this game in Arizona, I would say ASU is favored but it is at the Marriott and that makes all the difference.

I want to see how ASU’s fr. center Quaintance handles BYU’s Demin or Hall running a pic and roll. He is playing big time ball with nearly a double double average but can he do anything about Foos inside game? doubt it

ASU has another star fr. Joson Senon, we know him well because Coach KY recruited him to BYU, he was all in but Admissions said, “Thou shall not pass” and he went to ASU. he can get 30 pts and shoots 58% from 3land

Well said…just 20 this year at home…Tempe at the end of February will I think more likely to be the game you analyzed…though how much either team will be like they are currently is a question. Both teams have strong potential for growth and could be amazingly better by then.

You were close with BYU’s score. The defense came out and played better than we have in the past. That’s good to see. We still have too many dumb turnovers. Saunders was really solid on both sides.
