3 There’s talk that Lassiter could come back but read the above link…I want to see Nacua!
4 So who decided this would be a good schedule?
and I hope these are NOT the weekly lineup or we are in Trouble the last 4 games. 2025 BYU Football Schedule | FBSchedules.com
First 8 are winnable
Last 4 are all road games
@ Cinn
@ colo @ISU @TTU
Keep in mind ALL of the games We thought would be tough in 2024 ended up wrong with exception of Kansas. And all of our easy games…KU and ASU were supposed to be easy. But at any Case, BYU looks to be solid going into 2025.
BYU with 2 losses goes to the CFP playoffs, calling it
Given byu home and away games Utes schedule has to be similarly crazy
5 road games in a row followed by 4 homes in a row and closes at WV
I don’t think I’ve ever seen that unless it big dog sec and big10 that starts with 3 or 4 cupcake games all at home.
I’m worried about the defensive line next year. Weren’t the starting four all seniors? Who will we have on the line to start next year? Please, make me feel better about this part of the defense for next season.
BYU should have plenty of talent to choose from…11-2 will get you all kinds of Transfers looking our way.
Fans should realize that BYU is intact. Our talent is carrying over to next year. everyone knows the program. Think about eh turnover other big 12 teams have. Two top tear teams, Utah and Colo will be breaking in new QBs, there are probably more, I know KU’s Robinson is coming back but we don’t play them.
I look at road games
E Carolina, Houser is back
1st, ISU and QB Brecht is back and dangerous.
TTU and Morton sat out the Arkansas out with shoulder surgury. Should be back.
Zona and Fifita will be back,
Cinn, Sorsby will be back.
Colo, new QB.
1st glance, these games all look winnable.
Home game:
Utah, new QB
TCU, Hoover will be back
This coming year, BYU looks to be nationally ranked, players and coaches seem to be on the same page and there is lots of turnover vs. the best teams in the big 12.
Looking at the big picture
BYU
Kansas
ASU
ISU
KSU
all look to be the front runners with returning QBs. BYU does not play Kansas or ASU (expect 1 of these two to be in the finals)
Wild card teams have to be Utah and Colo. They will have talent but will they mesh by the time BYU plays them.
I had to laugh at the commentators on the bowl game that said:
“Colorado and BYU should be the top of the league next year!,
but then again so was KSU, Utah and Arizona this year.
Who knows what is going to happen?”
Paraphrasing of course, but I thought it was pretty funny they acknowledge how the BIG12 went upside down this year with the preseason picks.
Here is a look at the BYU portals leaving and comings… It has a bio on each
good call, moa the LB is in the transfer, he would come back if Glasker hit the NFL draft. It looks like both Glasker and Kelly are staying but either could declare, they are both locks
BYU has pretty much gone unscathed in the Transfers compared to just about any other Big 12 team. Salivating over next season.
Portal Question:
I noticed that Wakely and Moa did not sign with anyone yet.
Is the rule being that the name must be in the portal during open period, but they can sign with anyone, even after the portal closes?
When it comes to graduate transfers, as mentioned, they are eligible to enter the portal at any time. However, there are still rules for the older players, as well. In order for a grad transfer to switch schools, they must have graduated from their current college, have at least one year of eligibility left on their five-year clock, and be enrolling in a graduate school that has their desired sport.
Me: There are two transfer dates, winter and spring. 30 day and 10 days for Spring. Grad Students, these dates do not apply. But I think I read what you are saying somewhere
Next I will look at which teams in the Big 12 have the most Talent returning, spacifically, Who have the most consistency at QB on down to enter 2025 without drop off.
