BYU is 2-0 in league along with Colorado and Texas Tech. Utah is 1-1 as Arizona beat them. Wilson started again as Rising is still unable to go. So, Arizona won’t be easy. No one in the Big 12 is and should be thought as easy.
Having a week off next week will help as injuries are beginning to add up.
I watched parts of the Utah game. Arizona was very impressive. They didn’t look anything like a team that was beaten 31-7 by Kansas State. The Big 12 is crazy with no great teams, but a lot of good teams making almost anything possible from one week to the next. The Arizona QB was quite impressive. Not very big and didn’t run a lot but was very elusive and hard to pass rush. He had a very strong and accurate arm and made some great clutch throws on their last drive. Their DBs were very good. They always had the Utah receivers covered well and knocked away a number of passes that were right on the money. It didn’t seem like the Utah receivers were getting much separation and if they were Wilson wasn’t seeing them and was locked in on his primary target.
They looked like a very talented team and I hope BYU doesn’t put too much stock in our outcome against Kansas State as opposed to Arizona’s.
I think without Rising, Utah is beatable. Wilson is going to be a very good QB. Maybe better than Zac. Kills me that BYU doesn’t have him.
It’s weird in sports. When a good team is loses it’s always because they say they didn’t play well. Never the winning team beat them and was better. When you say the league is just full of average teams because teams like Arizona, Utah, Kst and others play well one week and lose the next, I disagree. Maybe almost all the teams are actually very good teams and sometimes it’s about match ups or injuries. I know one thing, this win streak can’t get to our heads or next game we will get blown out at home.
Well, BYU is #17 in the AP. Utah is #18. That should make some Utah heads explode

Why do you think the younger Wilson is going to be very good? He looks average to below average at this point. I haven’t seen anything specific that leads me to believe he will be very good. Oh well…

Wilson is just a freshman. He’s got a lot of potential. Anyone can see that.
Zona was ranked to begin the season. They won their last 7 games and returned the same talent…NO way would I overlook a team loaded like Zona is loaded.
over the past 40 years BYU has won big when they had veteran QBs. We now have one, Utah does not and Zona keyed on stopping the run. checkmate
BTW: Saying BYU is in 1st place is absolute ludicrous. We have won exactly 1 road game in the Big 12 in 2 years. Yikes.

They are widely favored in each of their games for the sesaon.
In contrast, BYU has 3 road games vs. UCF, Ut, and ASU. All favor the home team.
