BYU is in the Big12 Championship Game

BYU is maybe a top 15 team after this pathetic play - all on the offense.

I HATE the smugness the CFP must be feeling right now. Just feeds them for next to crap on byu

Playing like they are back in high school

Well, onto basketball

You should of taken the wager. TTU is ligit.

no excuses.

Sitake is going to hear a lot about what the fans want now that he got paid. And we want just one thing, a new OC.

Correcto mundo

I have not seen a worst called game in a long time.

The game essentially ended on byu’s drive with ARod trying to protect a lead

In the first quarter!!!

The first drive was a blueprint for what the entire game strategy.

But ARod reverted to what he always does.

ARod needs to go.

BYU will never be in the top 10 with ARod and Kalani will be wasting all the talent he has and will have on the team.

Decision is too simple. But he will give ARod at least another year.

This is a business - gotta know when to cut a man loose (thanks Clint Eastwood)

Meant “on byus second drive”

No - you can’t change your tune now. I have said for years now that ARid can’t win us a big game! He will never win us a CFP game and as long as we keep him we will probably never be in the CFP. He literally has zero feel for the game. He has poor poor play calling and zero feel for down and distance! Also, I don’t know why we couldn’t see HillStead for a couple of series?? It wouldn’t have made a difference with ARid but I just want to see what we have in reserve. It was obviously at bad day for Bear by the end of the 3rd quarter. So many questions.

We need a better TE and the ability to go with a double TE set for running the ball. We need to replace JoJo with another receiver. We need a RB stable that is 4 deep. We need a new OC …. And now i reiterate what i said about paying Sitake 10 million a year. We could have paid Sitake 25 million a yr and we will still lose …. We have to match Hill’s expertise on offense before he is gone! We have a small window …. For winning it all. ARid will cost the entire program a shot at the CFP and a national championship!

After the 90 yd first drive TD ….. nothing at all from ARid! 44 plays and 110 total yards the rest of the game. It is embarrassing…. For the money spent as of 2 days ago - even more embarrassing!

11-1 or 10-2 doesn’t mean you dont replace your weakness! Those records don’t get us where we want to be.

1 I hope TTU wins it all. I also hope Rodrigues wins the Heisman.

2 I turned off the game after our 1st possession of the 2nd half. I am not hating on Arod except for 1 major flaw, He has Zero GUTS. Yes, he was under orders from Sitake to grind it out and keep TTU’s potent O off the field but I can count on one hand the times that he read the box right the entire game, and that is pathetic. Any other big 12 team, you can ignore the box and get away with it, but TTU is exceptional along their Dline and LBers, they don’t need help from the secondary but Arod played right into their strength, and that is why I have little confidence in him. (not talking about any other Big 12 team, just TTU or any other top 10 team out there) BYU can’t beat great Defensive teams with our OC.

I want an OC that looks at Analytics and plays the odds. Arod had us going to start the 2nd, he threw when they stacked the box, then ran on 3rd and 12 because TTU had 5 total players in the box, Martin 1st down…….then Arod went back to Arod…..Arod would run the ball into 11 guys rather then take a risk on a long ball. He will point out today’s game to prove his point. Arod, “well we went long and got 2 interceptions, if we play ball control, we would not have had those two”….Spineless.

All of you can apologize for being ARid supporters by liking this post. Then I won’t say anymore about it!! Lol

You are right.

Arod is a good OC in just about every aspect except for that fatal flaw.

here’s the difference between you and I-I own up when I am wrong. And when someone else is right, I point that out.

Arod is a good OC 23-4 over the past 2 years is proof. BYU is in the top 2 winning in the very tough Big 12. Would we beat some of these playoff teams with Arod, 100%. Are we a top 10 team, I think so but as you point out, we need a change if we are going to get to the next level.

You are wrong about Bear, and not a peep.

I have to say we agree on that. It’s a shame you guys will be left out for losing to a top 4 team twice in the year. SEC loves talking quality losses and you guys have the highest ranked losses by far. Still a really good year for ya’ll but I’m hoping we are a team of destiny. It’s felt that way basically all year for Tech fans.

Thanks and you’re right. Ya’ll ran into a buzzsaw today with our defense after that first drive and things just kinda spiraled in that second half. When our fumble bounced right into the hands of our guy sometimes you just don’t have the luck on your side.

Lol, no thanks but mainly because I like our guy. But, I wouldn’t give him too hard a time. We made most offenses look really bad this year. He did take a straight up freshmen QB and won 11 games with him as the coordinator. That’s not an easy thing to do. I just wouldn’t judge him too harshly for the two games against Tech. Ya’ll have won a lot of games with him the last two years.

How is he wrong about Bear? After he got hurt he could not run and we became a one dimensional run team for a great defense to stop. Bear is a freshman and at that time, Hilstead should have gone in. Later in the game it looked like Bear could run. But, he only had that one run and that was it.

Me ad nauseam:

“Upgrade! Upgrade! Upgrade!

Do you not think Hill is pissed that his defense is being wasted by his counterpart.

Hill needs to get with Kalani and outright demand changes be made. This affects Hill’s market value too.

I have a brother who was a vp and went to the president and just laid out the incompetence of the chief of staff and what it is costing the organization. President did not like that and really was not happy with my brother. The president personally really liked the chief of staff.
One month later the president called my brother in. He said “you are absolutely right.”
My brother’s “reward” ? “You’re my new chief of staff”. Not what he was looking for but much better for the organization.

Obviously Hill needs to stay where he’s at but getting rid of what is holding the organization back is the message.

I always led my conversation with a couple of people that needed to seek opportunities elsewhere and if I liked them was

“My personal regard for you aside…”

Gotta make a change - this isn’t a good fit for you and the company.

And btw neither of us were making $700,000 a year or whatever it is ARod is making.

Tech was great. They deserve all the credit. They played virtually flawless football. Both teams had a handful of penalties. Refs were good. Both O Lines got away with some holds.

BYU just played the worst game I’ve seen in 40 years of byu football. A couple dropped passes such as Jo Jo. Horrific play calling by Arod. Bear Throwing balls right to Tech linebackers. How we played today, we couldn’t have beaten Ok St. 2-3 miscommunication snaps that turned into fumbles. Sideways passes against an 8-9 man front. One deep ball all game where Roberts got PI

Oh well. I want to see Tech play a home game vs Univ of Zero and stomp the Ducks.

The A Rod sentiment has been going on for years - not just these two garbage games.

Got it, you guys are winning in spite of him not because of him sort of deal is the general sentiment?

You got it.

Btw - giving MUCH credit to your defense. ARod was ARod for most of the game.
