To be specific it was my in-game analysis during the game and also my post-game analysis which were both the same and you could probably throw in my pre-game analysis, since I did take the time to scout SDSU and try to surmise what game plan they were most likely to run. End of story, so as I’m sure everyone else hopes, they will win their remaining game and finish 11-1 or 12-1
The defense made stops when it had to and didn’t allow any points after the first quarter. They allowed SDSU to control the clock too much but otherwise OK. The offense did fine against a top 10 defense and was missing two of its top playmakers. The outcome was about what I would have expected. I hoped for a more decisive win but 2 touchdowns is OK.
Katoa had a break away TD except his top end speed is about 2 steps slower then Algeier. We would have had 2 more scores with Algeier in there. We were lucky to win by 2 scores as the QB slipped on fourth and 3. Without Algeier, I was worried that the game would be a nail bitter.
UCF will score on BYU. We will run the 3-8, it won’t work but we’ll do it just to stop big plays. Will be probably the most fun to watch bowl games outside of a Bama-Clemson title game.
Notre Dame will spoil someone’s party
