California drought open season on liberty

You mean that channel that is just one long campaign commercial for the RNC, which hand them their ridiculous talking points every day as opposed to the real news sources that actually go out and collect information and do reporting? The comparison is too silly. Fox is not a news outlet.

That said, I probably do owe you an apology grass hopper. I hadn’t realized that there was an actual forum that has been running for years where fans can discuss off topic things of interest. That kind of makes sense. I don’t have much time to get on this site and when I saw your post I thought it was just a political post with the subject ‘Off Topic’ rather than an actual separate place on the site set up expressly for the purpose of posting off topic subject matter. So sorry about that. I probably over reacted a bit. I’m bombarded with Fox News even here at work and it gets really tiresome. Plus, I saw some actually thoughtful stuff stuff after I looked around a bit, as opposed to your bombastic hate filled nonsense

Typical left wing propeganda. Hate filled towards those who believe in God and God-inspired Constitution. Instead, lefters like to support godless newspaper, TV and radio hacks who lie and support liars like Obama and Hillary. And, love the race baiters like Al not so shart Sharpton and Jessie Jerkson. :grimacing:

Oh no! You’re not hate filled at all! If you didn’t have your righteous indignation it seems likely that you would have no personality at all. You seem to be the exact type of smug self righteous prick I would go out of my way to avoid when I was at BYU. The hilarious thing to me is that you actually believe you’re on the fast track to heaven and anyone who doesn’t think like you will burn forever! I don’t think Jesus would be able to stand you to tell the truth. He hung out with prostitutes and the poor and, news flash: He didn’t believe in keeping rich people’s taxes low and screwing the poor in every way possible. I think he’d probably class you with the hypocritical Pharisees he railed so much against. But carry on you loud mouth whited sepulcher. You provide comic relief if nothing else.

Mike,
I am enjoying your rant against Scott (Grasshopper)…

But it does seem silly that the things you are complaining about Scott, you are doing the EXACT same thing that you accuse him of doing…

This section was created because of mine and Scott’s battles. This is way for members of the church and those not of our faith to express their views about the world in which we live.

Devin is Devmo is a bit more liberal than me and Scott is far more conservative than I am… but for the most part we get along…

I have learned much about other opinions… it has helped me see the world differently… and who is to say that is bad?

Thanks for the input Floyd. Yes, I should be a bit more patient and kind, but did you notice that I apologized to him and it just made him even more rude? He’s flat out crazy. I have hundreds of LDS friends, including close family brother-in-laws, etc. and I get along fine with them. I really am perfectly capable of carrying on a substantive discussion with just about anyone, but they have to at least try. This guy is just a somewhat dimwitted loud mouth that hurls pejoratives and things he’s making a logical argument. I perused a few of his posts and just about every one was a loony rant. The guy has a severe misunderstanding of the constitution and the separation of church and state and seems to think the constitution was handed down by God himself. He also seems to think it says something about following God, apparently.

If I come back I will be much nicer from now on. I really just wanted to give him a taste of his own medicine.

That’s the most awesome thing you’ve ever written in here. Cool!

No, Jesus didn’t hang out with prostitutes and evil poopy mouth people. He met with them to teach and preach his Gospel. He hung out with repentant people who learned his doctrine and converted. Not the hypocrites that think they knew God’s laws and doctrines but never converted.

So, why do you continue to reject our glad message? Your lifestyle will be cramped? Won’t be able to wrap those dobbies? Won’t be able to dabble in sexual perversions? Won’t be able to bash those who believe that the Constitutionwas inspired by God to make way for a place to restore His Church to the earth?

You bet that the Constitution was inspired of God!!! For the specific purpose to establish His Church on Earth. So that we could teach the Gospel without the Government stoppng us from telling the truth such as homosexual acts are still a sin in the eyes of God. Your left wing liberals are attempting to stop the Church from warning people about the Lord’s commandments.

The 1st Amendment is not a two way thing. The Amendment limits the restriction with the Government attempting to start a Church or stopping our ability to openly state our doctrines. There is nothing in the words that limit members of Churches to warn people about what God’s sins are and not to participate in those sins. But, good little faschists and commies will continue to try and create anarchy by silencing religions.

“Poopy Mouth” huh? Nice one grasshopper. If you’d said a synonym for that though you’d be one of those horrid evil people as well, so be careful there! Hellfire awaits anyone who’s tongue slips.

You have no concept of the origin of the Constitution, that’s been clear enough for some time. The Founding Father’s, most of them anyway were Deists (who believe that God created the world and its inhabitants and then left us to work things out. You would call them atheists.) Thomas Jefferson bragged that he had “never bowed knee to any deity”, and he was no Christian. He considered Jesus to be a good role model (who wouldn’t?) but he didn’t believe that he had performed any miracles or had done anything supernatural at all. He actually created his own Bible by cutting out all of the Old Testament and most of the New Testament including the miracles of Jesus.

I don’t know if you’ve ever actually read The Constitution but I highly suspect not. Its pretty short and I think even you could probably handle it. If you did you would notice that is has no mention of religion except in an exclusionary sense, “Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion”, etc.) The idea that these guys had Jesus come down and hand it to them is laughably silly. In fact, being un-enamored with the kind of state sponsored religion Great Britain had, they set up one of the first secular states, a state based on reason, where people could freely form religions, or not. Does this sound like it was paving the way for some specific new religion to you? It doesn’t to me.

Yes The First Amendment allows you to preach your gospel (and more power to you), but for the exact opposite reasons you seem to think it does. I suggest you check out the 1st amendment a bit closer. It guarantees freedom of speech, not just for LDS folks but for everyone, regardless of race of creed. It even guarantees the rights of homosexuals, believe it or not!! I know, horrible huh!

Oh and if you want to know why I want nothing to do with your church, take a long look in the mirror.

Typical response from the left. No, you need to do a more honest study on the founding fathers of the country. That includes Jefferson. All you are getting is a one-sided left wing propeganda message. Yes, there were Deists. But, there were a lot of Christians as well. But, what came out of them is a document stressing we are endowed by our creator with unaliegnable rights.

And, you pass off the first part of the Religion clause of the 1st amendment like a good Obamanite. And, you ignor the free exercise of religion and try to put constraints on this to silence God keeping God’s children on earth from knowing his commandments. Just what Satan would want. One of the exercises of religion is to teach others. But, you don’t want that. So, make any commandment you don’t like into a way to name call Christians bigots, homophobes and haters. Well, that will not silence me nor any other person who is willing to exercise their freedom to do so.

As far as why you reject the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that’s obvious. You have not taken Moroni’s nor John’s admonissions and prayed with real intent faith not waivering and without a double minde to know if the Book of Mormon is not true. And, if Jesus is the Son of God and exists. And, so much more. I think you use as an excuse others so you don’t have to make commitments and change your life for the better. Or, like myself for many years, hide my sins from God. Soetimes it’s just easier to hide them.

Do you really think The Constitution stresses that “we are endowed by our creator with unaliegnable rights?” Nope it doesn’t. It doesn’t even stress that we are endowed by our creator with unalienable rights. Like I said, it might help you a bit if you read it.

As for the rest of your drivel… well you converted me. Obama! Benghazi! Christians are being silenced! I pounded on the table real hard when I said that so I hope I hit most of the high points. I’ll add, “blah blah blah” just for good measure.

He struggles with mental illness, have some compassion bro

Your right. I probably should have let up about 3 posts ago. I’ll cool it down.

Note the liberal mind comes unhinged by logic and reasoning. This can only be compensated with an emotional response

Ha ha! Funny kcblack

And grasshopper, although I know you won’t accept it, I’m going to offer you an other apology and pledge to stop calling you names. I know you won’t reciprocate (why should you, I’m a nasty liberal) but I’m going to try my best to follow through on my end irrespective of your actions. I’ll stop acting like a d##k and treat you with a bit more respect. I know you’re sincere in your beliefs and I really don’t want to silence you.

One thing I would say, and this is coming from a nasty liberal sinner so take it with a grain of salt: You know how I made you feel? That’s the way you make other people feel when you call them names and use religion as a weapon. Remember, Jesus taught folks to be humble, and to pray in secret and spoke out against folks who carry their religion on their sleeve. Again, sorry for treating you that way and hopefully you can forgive me. Jesus was pretty big on that as well.
