Fire away, this will be the hot subject until June 15. When I 1st read this, I thought, “This reads like a Dave McCann piece”. don’t get me wrong, I love McCann’s writing even if it always comes out sparkles and unicorns. Egor Demin’s decision on the NBA has become complicated – Deseret News
So Demin came out and said, “I never said I was 1 and done. You guys did…”. Demin
was supposed to play one year because he was underage for the draft.
But Demin did not expect to

NBA, you are just another player trying to beat out the next guy.
If his parents(and EGOR) feel he is not ready for the travel rigors, safe quiet BYU is a very nice place and with big NIL, I’m at 60% he stays.
I’m going to go with 70%. I think he is young and having fun for all the reasons you mentioned. If he is smart he will not go yet. What is the rush? He should be saving every dollar he gets. If he leaves too soon there is a good chance the NBA chews him up and spits him out. They don’t care… but BYU and the student body care. Stay where you are wanted and appreciated.
hundreds of examples…no guarantee though that if you stay you will succeed either.
He has a bunch to improve on to be able to call his shots on entering the draft…
I saw that missing “s” too. Tough miss for Mr. Perfect always right
The only thing preventing Demin from succeeding would be injuries. He’s more likely to get seriously injured in the NBA at this point. At BYU, he can put on some needed muscle and get lots of playing time with AJ and others to distribute the ball while taking open shots.
Who? Harold or myself? I will thank you on behalf of both of us.
The Hopper misses a lot of things… an “S” would be a minor one. He misses calls by the officials, he misses on many of his posts, he likely misses his mom too. I know I do.
