If Bohanon starts the season, I think A-Rod might have finally made a good decision. If Riley Nelson 2.0 Retzlaff starts, it will be more of the same from A-Rod.
l should state what I would consider a success. Getting to .500, going bowling and making a good showing against the U would be a success for me. I think this all rests on how the Oline performs assuming all other units play like they did last year. if they don’t improve kiss all those things good bye and hello #14 in the conference.
Clueless… Like talking to a door knob.
I am a McCae Hillstead fan myself. at 5’9 Hillstead is small but a baller. He has been working with Beck all summer. (Beck is a good fly fisherman, AIK)
I share your sentiment. Sitake took the strategy of continuity, keeping the same players. Can’t argue with him, we had two more wins in our pocket that got away. Do I think we are better this season? Yeah, without a doubt, one year older, one year smarter; But, having said that, Big questions at QB and Oline so in a Big 12 that is built like BYU teams of old where we just outscored the other team, we will see.
Will we go bowling? Not going to win @Baylor or @Utah. Let’s talk after the SMU game.
I asked for to tell me how BYU is better and deeper than last year.
i even gave you the depth chart for both years to help you tell me how we are better and deeper than last year
your comment reflects your understanding of the state of football more than it does me.
I hope your right it would be nice to see us at least go bowling. I was hoping that someone would have some inside baseball we could all chew on.
haven’t ever listened to locked on pod cast, but may start. he had Connor Pay on to talk about fall camp and at the 8min mark he is asked a question about the oline’s chemistry.
at the 23:10 mark he gives us a quote from coach woods “solve your problems with aggression and physicality”. I like that what I am hearing here. maybe the oline will be good this year.
Yes, the players and coaches are saying when interviewed on BYUSN that chemistry is much better and they are deeper too.
I am not a big fan of BYUSN, because it’s on byutv its always one sided and I never feel like i am going to get the full story just a puff piece, so I don’t really trust them. if I had to pick a biased group of sports reports (I don’t like doing that) they would obviously be on the top of the list.
Have you ever watched it?
yes a lot when it first started, I some times watch it for the pregame and I have even went to a few broadcasts at the station when they do away games.
I think they are pretty honest with their evaluations and what they think. They also bring on objective commentary as well.
and yet, Mon’s practice, the O did not get one pass off, the D focused on shutting down the run, The O could not capitalize on it…Am I worried? Yes. Sitake did say that Tues. practice the O had a better day.
The BYU Offense Responds on Tuesday After a Dominant Defensive Showing on Monday (msn.com)
Worried, yes
sounds like Defense and Offense are going back and forth, because SI is saying yesterday the offense won the day.
now having said that the article didn’t make it sound like the offense dominated the defense like they did on Monday. but I am going to hold onto hope, not the delusional hope of Grasshopper, but realistic hope that they may go 6 n 6 and go to a bowl game.
oh and thank you for the source looks like SI is doing some good reporting on fall camp. Cougarfan why isn’t this in your list of articles?
Who says it isn’t? But, no reason to listen to one hand clapping . Not worried. Glad to see both sides making adjustments as each puts in new schemes and broadens the playbook on each side. Offense takes longer to come together than defense. Relax. 9-3 sounds about right.
