The only bubbly team in the bunch is BYU, which—despite losing Kyle Collinsworth, Chase Fischer and Nate Austin—should be even better than last year. Transfers Elijah Bryant (Elon) and L.J. Rose (Houston) will join Eric Mika (returning from LDS mission) and freshmen T.J. Haws, Payton Dastrup and Yoeli Childs as incoming players expected to make a major impact.
Well written. BYU should split their games with SMC. GU is supposed to be better this year and they were a sweet 16 team. I think BYU goes dancing but it all depends on how fast they learn to play together.
I still think that we will see a LP3 plus 2. Davis and Rose/Bryant with a heavy dose of Childs and Dastrup off the bench.
quality bigs this year include:
Kaufusi, Mika, Davis, Childs, Dastrup.
Childs and Dastrup could get minutes on the wing as well.
Rose should be able to stick them in and let them add up the fouls with no concern as to the number because the team will be able to foul out any set of bigs they face, including the Zags…assuming that the bigs figure out how to draw fouls as well as dish them out.
