Frank Jackson most likely not coming to BYU

Jackson has not only decommitted from BYU, but he’s now decommitted from going on a mission. It appears he’s now looking at a one-and-done scenario, which likely takes BYU out of the picture a la Jabari Parker.

Have heard him announce he is not going on a mission, but can’t blame him if he has the talent to play at the next level he shouldn’t take 2 years off now.

Re read this line, “Jackson previously told NBCSports.com that he will be taking his mission, but he has since softened on that stance, telling reporters this week that he’s not made an official decision yet.”

He has not decommited about his mission plan. He did decommited verbal to BYU. We will find out sometime in the fall. It is up to him where he goes but he might feel more closer to BYU because of Dave Rose and now Quincy Lewis along with his former LP players.

NBA can wait and I know that we all heard it before age will be a factor if not playing at younger age in the pros. I don’t care what Pro Leagues had to say about age. Steve Young came in later when USFL went dead. I hope he doesn’t go to ACC or any other big boys schools including u tun!

I won’t worry about this kid right now. Summer so far has been dragging out a little longer which of course sports are pretty much dead at this time of the year.

But if he is an NBA talent and this is his goal, he needs to get there as soon as possible and not take two years off from the sport. Missions are great, but not for everyone especially those who can do more by not serving ala Jabarri.

Hey I am not giving up on Frank Jackson quite yet. Guess I am just the eternal optimist. I am however VERY excited for BYU hoops. I think Quincy will make oooodles of difference for BYU. Fire up big blue!!! Fire up!!!
