While enjoying a freak summer August tropical storm in Southern California, first in 82 years, the earth began to move under my feet as a 5.1 earthquake hit about 2 miles north of us. So far, all is well. Jim lives close by and he’s okay just shaken up. I’ve consoled him

4 miles south of Ojai makes it closer to 10 miles west and north of you.
It was 4 miles east of me.
Everybody wants the notoriety. 
From my house it was 2 miles. It was off of Sulfur Mountain Rd. Almost under where Larry Hagman lived when he was alive. Our house is almost directly south of it.
