Reported on BYU Sports Nation today, when SMU boarded their plane to fly to Provo, after take off, the pilot came on the intercom to welcome the team to his flight. When the pilot heard they were on the plane, he also prepared BYU’s fight song for the intercom. He then said to the SMU team that he was a die-hard BYU Cougar and that they were going to be destroyed in front of 18,000 cougar fans. He then played the BYU fight song. LOL!!! Now, that’s a real fan!!!

There were only 14,897 fans reported at the game, not 18,000, and some of those were St. Mary’s fans. 
Ha, I heard there were 50 SMU fans. Big deal. And those nunbers were probably paid fans
