Future of scheduling Utah in Basketball

In my opinion this cancellation was very calculated by Mr. Hill. Every decission that they make is very calculated. So the question is: With the really high potential of BYU basketball next year. I am talking about 4 or 5 top 100 players. They are going to be good, real good. Should BYU even entertain the thought of scheduling games with Utah and giving them any credibility of a real rivalry game. All of Utahs decission are based on giving Utah credibility and doing their best to negate any credit or attention going to BYU. If you disagree with this premise tell me why and how I am wrong. Should we even entertain the thought?

Yes.
It will be fun to pulverize them.
It will be good for the resume, RPI to have beaten them.
Their PAC12 schedule will raise BYU’'s RPI.
The fans look forward to it on both sides.
It is a fun recruiting tool.
It is a way to prove, that even though their part of the bigger badder better PAC12 things haven’t really changed.
After the team’s improvement with so many players sticking together for the two or three years Rose is hoping for, it will be nice to show them that things really have changed…

I’m sure I could think of a few more with a bit of thought.

My personal feeling is, it is time that all of their stupid manuvering and calculating bit them in the butt.

I don’t think you guys are considering the danger factor and the safety concerns of the utah players… somebody might get hurt. :unamused:

That’s true I completely forgot about the safety issue. How silly of me, as my youngest daughter would say. But then again I’m not a fourth grader anymore…

I like what you have said but maybe it would be better to ignore them like they don’t exist.
