Bywater announced his retirement from football today.
Wonder what happened? Injury again in first day of practice? Or, he’s seeing the newcomers and realized they are better than him and just doesn’t have the drive to compete. Our linebackers are really good now.
I think we all saw that coming. I hope he has a full recovery. He was sure good at what he did,.
I wonder how everyone feels about Byu not adding many people this year and just going with the group from last year?
He had surgery from the injury he got in the Kansas game last year and the shoulder never quite healed the way it was supposed to do.
best of luck to this young man, I enjoyed watching him play “all out football”.
They brought in Jack Kelly as an insurance policy for Bywater. From the write up’s I see about him, he can move over to Ben spot and play.
The big questions that I have are:
- Who wins the QB battle? Bohannan or Retzlaff or Hillstead or Bourguet?
- Will the O-line improve enough to match what is needed in the BIG12?
- Will LJ Martin be healthy enough to play? Right now, according to the newspaper, that is up in the air.
- Can the team remain healthy and unhurt during fall practice? As you know we lost some key guys last year during the fall.
- Who will back up Martin? Ropati seems to be injury prone.
- Will the defense front 7 be aggressive enough and get to the QB?
- Will ARod finally learn how to play call to the point of being affective?
- Will ARod use his talented Tight Ends in his schemes?
Just a few questions.
Good questions and good response.
I think you were the cause of me having these questions by some of your comments. LOL
Buzzzzt ! This is the year Sitake’s future is determined by ARod and the offense. Remember Tuiaki?
Here’s a question:
Can Big 12 money get John Beck to come to BYU as the QB coach. BYU needs to keep the NFL talent coming to BYU
Something I kind of would like but I’m assuming Beck makes a boatload of money doing what he does and BYU could never match. While raising kids in Utah is much better than California, it looks like according to Floyd Utah is getting worse and worse too.
