I hate to say it, but maybe the best thing that could happen for BYU this year is a NIT bid. Three games in the NIT would be much better for the young players than a one and done with no playing time. Again we see the team playing with no purpose. Bad ball handling, bad offensive discipline-forcing shots, bad rebounding, loss of concentration. They have been on the road for a long time. They will have to win ten in a row plus at least two in the tournament for any hope of a NCAA bid. Would that really be the best thing?

NIT would be better if get in. For a long time more like end year 2015, I thought no way ncaa. We do have a lot of young players on the team and KC can’t do it all to himself. If they win the wcc tourney and yes one and done. I feel bad for KC and wish him well in where his Pro going to be which I hope for him in nba.
I agree. Too many bad losses with probably more to come. Even now I am not sure the NIT is a lock.
I’m not sure it would be best.
But it would be better for long run recruiting.
And it might even be better for the frosh to see how to put a winning streak together than for them to have demonstrated the inconsistency that they’ve experienced this year.
no doubt 3 games is better experience than one and done but the work it would take to get to one and done would be better work than has been done so far…
Agreed. I don’t know any true competitor who works for second best on anything. A true competitor believes they can win no matter the odds against them.
