I get it, Coach Prime is a media darling - he puts eyeballs on TV and interviews. So his team is too.
Even seeing some “experts” putting CU in as only team from Big12 into CFP.
Mark my words, Utah will beat CU in Boulder this next Saturday. CU will be suffocated by UT defense. Saunders will get sacked 5 times. Hunter will - for him - be sub par. 5 catches for 87 yds.
Do you think the Utes will recover from the BYU loss? I don’t know.
They are better than their record indicates but they are also not very good this season and they seem to be aware of it. No points in the second half and they lose to a team who has one of the most clueless OC’s in the country. I don’t know if they can pull it off. I think they are capable but mentally I don’t know if they will show up.
Has anyone seen this guy? I like his style and boldness. Not talking about Whit, but rather the guy that does the podcast.
I did enjoy. Seen him once before. He really rips on Utah AD and Whittingham
He also thought ARod called a poor game, gave up on run.
Thanks for providing
JCoug I’ll write more when I don’t have 3 grandkids under the age of 6 within 12 inches of me.
This win was epic but ARod did everything he possibly could to make it close. Our play calls start to finish were just mind bogglingly confusing.
The sequence when we had first and goal on the 5……wow
The sequence when we had second and one at midfield in the 4th quarter. DOUBLE WOW. And boy he just loves throwing behind the line to gain on 4th down. ARod just can’t help himself.
In the end an epic W.
Jay Hill makes significant schematic shift at half.
Utah gains 59–59!!!—net second half yards after getting gouged for 200 in 1st half.
Hill pitches second half shutout.
Jay Hill for President.
Colorado will beat Utah, because Utah has little offense to sustain them. If a sky high Utah can’t defeat BYU in a rivalry game, they have little chance on the road
I thin BYU v Colorado would be a great B12 championship game. It would pit BYU’s very good pass D vs Colorado’s league best passing attack and BYU’s just above average offense against Colorado’s suspect D.
Dion has CO playing well. He’s done a great job there. People remember him from his playing days and think he was a show boat. He was and made a lot of money. He did a lot of good things as well. People get jealous of those who make more than they do, get more attention and things like that. I look at the actual character of the man how they look today. He’s a Christian and demands good character from all his players. But, I’m a Republican and can actually forgive others from their younger days.
I watch him a lot. he has a good one today with the locked on Utah guy and the cope from him (the utah guy) was staggering. he didn’t want to talk about their AD’s comments at all.
I think it is time for fans and commentators to call for the AD to be fired. the sorry but not sorry note was a joke and he should be doing apologies in person.
I agree with you on CO, Utah will get to Saunders, sack him a bunch but I think CO wins and it won’t be close…Utah has no way of generating offense. Their defense will keep this game close but Utah just can’t generate more then 20 points. With Kuithe out, Utah has only one star, Bernard.
Jim, that pod cast was money. filets out Utah’s self entitlement.
Arod called a poor BYU game, left 2 scores on the floor, just sayin
Utah AD after the game: “WAA WAA WAA someone stole the game from me. The refs cheat. The conference is garbage.”
Utah AD after being fined: “I could have said things differently, but I’m a total a$$hole so I said what I meant and oh yeah I would say I wish BYU the best but only because Yormatk told me he would put me in time out of I didn’t say that.”
Colorado would have made BYU look like a FCS team tonight. Kinda glad it wasn’t them playing us but in a way I wish it was because it would make them look legitimate more than beating Utah.
Naw. The defense played well holding their great runners to 73 yards. It’s the little small details that the team did not do in practice this past week. Long season and got a little full of themselves after Utah. The let down you were worried about. Hopefully we learned from this and play better Saturday. 9-1. Who would have thought?
How could they be full of themselves after Utah? I don’t buy it.
Colorado dropped 49 on the Utes, BYU could barely muster 14 and only won the game because of a fortunate penalty and a very good field goal kicker.
You can’t keep playing like they have and squeaking by game after game and expect it to happen every week.
Unfortunately it blew up this week… and they lost to a very average, pedestrian team. Every team Kansas has played this season (Lindenwood doesn’t count) has scored more points against them than BYU did and most of those teams have scored a lot more than 13 points.
You need a dose of reality and some consistency. Don’t call for Bohanon all season long if you think Retzlaff has been so great. I’ve pointed out a lot of the issues he has, starting with his OC, but he makes a lot of bad decisions, throws some pretty bad passes and is wildly inconsistent, even when he is playing well. The marriage of Roderick and Retzlaff is a volatile one and it came to a head last night.
We were 9-0. How we win doesn’t matter. Much like 1984. The players said it best. And, we win games in practice at the college level. In basketball too.
