Well, finally some of the women’s teams are feeling the effects of the new younger missionary age eligibility. That’s OK, the guys have faced that issue forever. Coach Rockwood better learn how to recruit from junior colleges to cover that 18 months to two years while some of her soccer players leave for missions and then recover for a semester or two. The same for the cross country team and the women’s track team. One issue for track and field is that they are more or less sort of individual specialties rather than teams sports that play off of each other. We all know that the Church leaders knew what this might do the women’s athletic teams. Get used to it coaches, the guys have been doing it for a long time.
