So, a good friend of mine is watching a rerun of a past game of BYU. So far, in 20 minutes I’ve received 12 texts concerning the referees.
Total 20, so far…
It was a total of 25. It isn’t narcissism, not sure why you always throw that out there. My only point in doing this was in an effort to demonstrate that the BYU-Wisconsin game was one sided when it came to fair and objective officiating. I couldn’t find one call that went against Wisconsin, certainly not on the same level that NUMEROUS calls went against BYU. I think I made my point and the reason you didn’t reply is because you KNOW I was right. Your inability to acknowledge the truth/facts is troubling. It keeps you from having any objective perspective because you simply don’t care about the officiating… in any game. It is an integral part of every game whether it is good, bad, biased, objective or fair. It ABSOLUTELY affects how the players play the game, the momentum swings, the decisions of coaches and players and occasionally, the end result.
Officials can be good or they can be bad and as long as they are doing their best to be objective and fair toward both teams it is okay either way. Where I have a problem is when they are good or bad and it is apparent that it is favoring one team or the other. That is bias. The Wisconsin game definitely favored the Badgers in a variety of ways. So much so that in spite of being completely outplayed in the game vs BYU they still had a good chance to win or tie it at the end. It was pure effort and playing a better game for at least 35 of the 40 minutes of game time that got BYU the vistory. For that I am glad and I DID ENJOY the game. I would have enjoyed it more if I thought the officials had been impartial. Had they made a couple of obviouisly bad calls against Wisconsin in that game we wouldn’t even be having this conversation.
Frankly it’s bizarre that you are unwilling to acknowledge this FACT.
And you are 100% right, right? No one can have a different opinion or view on the watching a game. It has to be your way or the highway. Narcissism.
Why would I want to respond to a game I’m not watching that was played last week? I have other things to do Tuesday evenings. I rest my case
You didn’t respond to it while it was being played so I was giving you another opportunity.
You’re too busy waving your pom poms and yelling through your megaphone!
That is why your analysis and understanding of what is going on is so low level.
You said you didn’t watch it live. LOL!
Because what I see watching on TV will have nothing to do with the outcome. I can’t do a thing. Neither can you. So, while you harp on the refs 100 times in 2 hours, I watch for how BYU adjusts to everything happening in the game. This includes defense, offense of BYU, and the other team and the referees. See, the “ best team” isn’t just who shoots the best, free throws shooting, turnovers, etc. “Best team” includes the mental responses to adversities during the game. So, while you’re burning up your ulcer over referees, I’m cheering for the team and enjoying the game.
Again, what are you talking about? I watched the entire game from start to finish as it was being played. Last night I watched the replay. It was the second time I watched it but THIS time I tried to watch through the eyes of a Wisconsin fan, looking for anything I might see that would make me think my team wasn’t treated fairly and objectively. Again, I saw nothing. Wisconsin got ALL the missed/bad calls in their favor.
Are you feeling okay?
You’re a Wisconsin fan? WOW!!!
