And yet 10 wins for the third year in 5 years.
yes we won 11 games in 2020 and 10 in 2021, but those were the covid years and I donât put much stock into them. in 2020 we played nobody our SOS looks worse then Boiseâs this year. in 2021 we beat up on the pac12 and some low end teams. now you will say ya we beat up on P5 teams. but did we really? the pac12 in 2020 barley pulled together a season and they hardly practiced. then in 2021 they had weird practice rules and teams were loosing large #s of players to covid when it finally hit their team. basically these werenât normal years and to count them as such is foolish. sorry but when you put context around it, it starts to smell like turd sandwich that no oneâs buying.
If you look at the SOS by year, it shows that three of the four 10 win seasons was because the SOS was so weak (the lower the number, the worse the Strength of Schedule is).
2020-2021 Ranked 67th with a record of 11-1 and a score of 0.7
2021-2022 Ranked 54th with a record of 10-3 and a score of 1.2
2022-2023 Ranked 65th with a record of 8-5 and a score of 0.4
2023-2024 Ranked 48th with a record of 5-7 and a score of 3.1
2024-2025 Ranked 32nd with a record of 10-2 and a score of 6.9
This was taken directly off the NCAA SOS site.
So, to tout that we have 3 10-win seasons because of ARod, is a bit like saying I caught a lot of fish while fishing at the fish hatchery.
Stop with all the excuses. We played the games and we won. Trying to take away great accomplishments from the coaches and players is the weakest of all midget minds. The records speak for themselves.
So, will little Wilson come to BYU?
lol I love it
BYU in 2020 and 2021
But like with all Records there are circumstances that cause the record to be set.
For instance, there is a biological male (transgender) that won every race and set ârecordsâ! So, we should not consider the advantages this swimmer had because they were biological male?
You have to consider ALL FACTS Hopper.
Only circumstances that fans and media talk about. Like BYU 40 years ago winning the National Championship. Itâs still mythical because of the media, money and fans like you. You cannot take away the 3 seasons of 10+ wins. Just give the credit where credit is due.
check
Hopper arguing 10 win seasons while arguing in another post that BYU beat SMU on the road and has a better SOS therefore should be ahead of SMUâŚYou canât fool anyone.
The school and Brethren believe Iâm right. Why you say? Because Sitaki received a 5 year extension to his contract. Every 10+ win season matters 110%. Great job BYU and forget these pathetic detractors that want to minimize the great play by the athletes and coaching by the coaches.
Hopper talking to the Brothren
No oneâs diminishing their success this year. I ate Crow after the Baylor game. I have said that Iâve seen Improvement from the QB and the OC. That they deserve the 10 win season they got this year.
what I am saying
- 2020 and 2021 isnât even close to the same level as this year
- Arod has a lot of question marks around him
- if you want to play with the big boys then you have to have the killer instinct like them and KS doesnât have that. if he did we would have run up the score and Arod would be fired.
now if you want to argue with me on what i am actually saying I am willing to engage but donât put words into my mouth because of your nearsighted views.
Why continue to argue with this hopper? Donât take the bait.
I am not happy with this current OC compared to all others since 1979 when I came to BYU. Erin Rodrick does not qualified for this job
because I can and itâs fun
10 Players in the Transfer Portal with Connections to BYU Football
BYU will probably pick up a few from this list.
Argue? You put out your opinion and I put mine out. Itâs you and others that are doing the arguing.
So, my opinion about KS is he is competitive and has his priorities properly focused. The ball off the helmet has zero to do with KS focus on being aggressive and wanting to win. Had that not happened we would have been in the Big12 championship game and in then12 team playoffs.
well said I agreed it doesnât and I never said it did.
sense youâre struggling with this let me help you out.
my two examples were running up the score and firing Arod. not sure how you got the pooch kick from that. I think it best to stay focused on my arguments not the fake conversations you are having with the brethren.
Because you donât have to run up scores and you donât have to fire anyone. That was never the problem beating Kansas or ASU.
your right it didnât⌠you got me
Oh, OK so it is the other way around the hopper. Heâs taking the bait so he can become a sucker.
You are generalizing while everyone else is talking specifics. Is there some reason you donât want to discuss specifics? Is it too difficult? If you score a 90 percent on a test and you know you didnât have the answers but you guessed your way to that score, does that mean you should do it again the next time instead of finding a way you can prepare better and actually know your score was legitimate and not the result of lucky guesses?
Hah, I think thatâs a pretty good analogy and comparison.
