One more thought I haven’t seen yet…

Jim and I were texting back and forth during the Kansas game when I pointed out and he agreed BYU players had the wrong Cletus for the turf. Did anyone else notice the numerous slipping? Perhaps the line could not get their footing to block better? Perhaps Kingston couldn’t slow down and tuck? Lots of other slippage as well. Thoughts?

I am not sure, but I think Kansas field is actually astro-turf type field or some type of combination of grass/artificial turf mixture.

From what I have been reading in the NFL, the players have been complaining that the turf creates more injuries than grass and it less stable (not able to plant foot).

So, I think you might be right on that.

And unfortunately, most schools in this conference, have artificial turf and expect more injuries to come

We should ask Kansas what size and type of cleats they use if this is the case. If other Big 12 teams are using the same grass.

Do you remember the Oregon game a few years ago?

They had artificial turf and “watered it” shortly before the BYU game…

We lost that game.

The equipment manager is supposed to know what cleat size that is needed for the turf being played on.

I guess it is a guessing game at best.
