Too bad for the BYU baseball team that failed to pitch well and score runs against Gonzaga and Pepperdine in the WCC tournament. The Cougars great start to the season (18-1) failed in the second half with many injuries and the drop off of clutch hitting when facing good teams in the WCC tournament. BYU needs more depth in pitching and more consistent hitting when facing the better teams. They may have more depth next year with their returning players. But to me that don’t rate a place in the 2016 NCAA tournament.
