1 Baker, Knell will kill you if left wide open. Knell forces shots, hit all the open shots. 4-7 not bad but Baker was HUNTING. 6-7 from 3land. 2 assists is not what we want out of a Point.
2 BYU’s rebounds 59 is NUTS! 59-22 Queens, never seen a deficit this big.
3 before the game, I said Keba and Foos would have a heyday inside…
Keba 11 pts and 13 rebs
Foos 4 pots and 12 rebs
4 Egor came back to earth…a little… He only got 14 pts, 5 asists and 2 steals. I will take that any game, every game.
5 Boskovic has unimpressed me to this point, I thought he would be more dominate but ya know, he fit in this game efficiently, most likely, he is finding his role. 7 pts on 11 minutes as opposed to Catchings 22 mins, a team high in taking shots 4-14 to get 9 points is not efficient. There is a very big log jam at the 4 with Mag and Bosko. I do think that Catchings at the 4 and Bosko at the 5 would work from time to time if we were behind and needed some quick 3s.
6 21 offensive boards is just one less then Queens (22) Total rebs
7 13 steals and only 12 turnovers
8 Hall is still resting his Turf Toe. He could go but they are just letting it heal and giving Egor most time with the starters.

Our best lineup
Hall
Egor
Saunders
Boskovic
Keba/Foos…Toss up
Good recap. #1. Baker isn’t the point. Egor is. Baker was the 2 guard in which 2 and 3 are somewhat interchangeable when Knell is on the floor with Baker.
The startling lineup,
Hall
Egor
Saunders
Catchings
Keba
Bosk has some playtime needs but the two reverse layups have been impressive. Knell is making it difficult not to start him.
Side note, Catching’s 3 shot mechanics needs work. The lean diminishes the distance accuracy. Get his feet under him consistently and his shot percentage will go up and stay up.
Did you watch the game?
Baker takes over the point when Egor gets rest., both Baker and Crawford shared duties.
That will all change now that Hall gets back into the rotation.
Baker is a finisher, does not look to spread the ball, looks to score. In a Hall or Egor lineup, he would play the 3 if he ever runs with the ones
My concern still is with the defense. We will get teams that get hit from distance. Players have to not lose their man allowing wide open 3 shots. Being so deep, the players should be moving as fast and quick as they cannot worrying about getting tired.
That’s quite the glowing review for a guy who hit a few wide open threes against a vastly inferior opponent. But then you followed it up with this one?
So I’ll let you explain how those two comments make Knell a consideration for a starting position. I don’t understand your reasoning.
I was sitting about 6 rows up on the baseline. The last segment of the game had Baker bringing the ball up and starting the offense. One of the major differences between Baker and Knell is that Baker can defend on ball and he is a very good ball handler. Look at me there, shoehorning two differences into one!
Hall’s absence has allowed Elijah to get more minutes. Queens was his best game yet.
One more point on our defense: Crawford, Saunders, and Mag are absolute on ball MENACES defensively. And Catchings looked great in his ability to sag to help in the paint off ball and quickly recover to his man on the corner or wing 3 pointer. Up close his length and athleticism are very impressive. His guy can catch the ball and start his shooting motion but have to adjust or hurry the shot because Catchings surprises guys with his length and hops. He seems a little off kilter shooting and a little frustrated with himself as a result but his raw tools are just wowza.
