Looking at the stats from each team (last years) has me scratching my head a little. For instance, Notre Dame was ranked #43 in Defensive stats and #45 in Offensive stats. and yet ranked top 10 nationally last season. Not making sense here.

ND would be voted national champs every year if there are no games played. But unfortunately for ND they have to take the field and play the games.
