I really believe that this season, we will be at our best compared to the past 4 years.
Our defense remains strong.
We may have the best Offense that we have had in many years.

We approach this first game, not like we would vs any other game, but instead,
we approach it with great Hunger. We are focused. We are intense. We are
ready for the Utah Utes.
This game vs the Utes is the first game of the season. More often than not, we win the first big game of the season.
Getting off to a good start is paramount for a great season. It instills confidence for future big games. Yes I believe BYU has the people in place to do something special the next three years. It all starts with the Utes, who are loaded. Take care of business-Utah is most likely the best team we will face this year. If we beat them we can beat anyone on our schedule. If we lose it will be another struggle to get bowl eligible
Well, we came here to first receive a body so we could progress towards eternal life. While we have our agency, we have laws and punishments so that we can exercise our free moral agency. We don’t have the right to do just anything we want to as that would lead to kaos and anarchy losing the knowledge of good and only knowing evil. As it did in Noah’s days. As it did with Sodom and Gomorrah. As it was much of the Dark Ages. No true Church.
Utah loaded? Maybe. Too bad they “u” got a big target on there back. So, u will win the pac12 south and rank top 15? Good luck to u.
I want to see BYU knock them off and we should be fine. But if we lose to u and yes we will struck the next 3 games but after that we should be fine and BYU easily be bowl bound.
Perhaps-but psychology plays a large part in sports and a victory or two over Utah, Washington, Tennessee, USU, USC or Boise State will give the players and the fans something to rally on not victories over teams you are supposed to beat and squeeze into a bowl game in Hawaii. 4-2 would be a good start against those teams with U being huge
Listening to 1280, the zone, Utah has 8 guys coming back that would have been 1 or 2nd round picks. BYU gets maybe 1 every other year. To knock off Utah with their defense would be quite a feat. How Witt convinced them to stay one more year is also quite a feat.
I want to believe the hype here from fall camp, I just don’t know how strong we are after the starters. There P5 games are games of attrition. They get a lead on you and just wear you down.
I think it is an advantage getting Utah for the first game or any other P5 team before they get ramped up. Especially teams like Washington breaking in a new qb
The game will come down to who is able to impose their will … Utah’s offense or BYU’s defense. I have to say that I think Utah will win this game. If BYU is leading at halftime, BYU wins the game. That is my prediction!
We came here to receive a body and if possible, by faith, find the Gospel and receive the saving ordinances. We Covenanted to do this in the pre-mortal life when we chose freely to follow Heavenly Father’s plan and not Lucifer’s. We had our free moral agency to choose good and evil prior to coming to Earth and receiving our body. We didn’t come here for the purpose of receiving free moral agency. We already had it.
