Outside of buying tickets to BYU games, I didn’t give any money to bring AJ to BYU…Gotta give credit where credit is due and this is all about Kevin Young, the environment of” / X

Hey Ryan, I’m a big supporter of Jazz and love the Hockey Club! Hope I don’t have pull support of our pro teams because my first loyalty is to the Utes!! I like BYU and always cheer for them but if we create an unfair playing field I can only protest with my wallet!!

Love it

It’s nice to know the truth once in awhile. We spend a lot of time here discussing topics based on conjecture and rumors or something we heard. I think a lot of the time those things are true but all that information can change in its meaning and hence, our understanding, over time.

Dybantsa has all the potential of a Lebron or MJ and certainly can rise to the level of next level NBA star. I don’t have a problem saying it. If I’m wrong oh well, but that is what I see currently. If I were to be totally frank, I think his game is a lot like Tracy McGrady’s. He is smooth, calm and can turn it on at will. He is unstoppable at his current level in high school. He does whatever he wants. It will be more difficult as he progresses but I think he is up to the task.

Haha, it went from Smith and NIL to gushing over the Dybantsa commitment and his potential.

My daughter is a pretty senior person at Qualtrics. She doesn’t know Ryan Smith well but has only spoken highly of every interaction she has had with him. I’m very close with a person at BYU who works closely with the donors and athletes, and that person has never said anything but that Ryan loves BYU and will be there for BYU, both for publicity and with money. BUT Ryan knows he doesn’t have to “foot the bill” all the time. I totally admire his judgment on the Dybantsa situation because he very well could be drafting Dybantsa and it’s a better look if Ryan didn’t pay him in college.

JCoug, agree with you 1000% about Dybantsa’s talent level at this time. He literally looks like a D1 AA playing against high school kids. I think he would start at BYU today. His ability to take it to the rack will translate big time next year, and he has a wicked good midrange game, which he will need against good defenders who can cut him off on the dribble. I think you and I are on the same page about this kid!

Boom, I like it. Jazz is tanking just like Popovich did to get Tim Duncan, Robinson and now Victor Wembanyama, possibly the best ever.
