I was reading the Desnews the other day and they had an article about Retzlaff talking to Tom Brady. He asked Brady for advice on what he needs to do his senior season.
For the record, it made me think of you because of your past comments on Retzlaff decision making and choice of throws. So, I thought I would share this with you.
Will it help? I hope so, but I do think Tom gave him some valuable advice.
I read the article was well. “Get Better”, “work on the little things”.
I have been hunting my entire life. Some guys are great target plinkers but fall apart on live game. They just lose it. I on the other hand get downright serious when everything is getting crazy. I cut out all the noise, nothing else matters but shot placement. I shoot a single shot 300 mag Thompson, that breaks in half. There is no second shot.
In any sport, there are guys that rise up, understand the moment and execute. Others can’t do it no matter how much they try. I follow a routine, it takes all the periphery baloney out of the picture. Call it Preparation=Success.
Brady was so good at barking calls that Defenses would show their hands, then he would audible. But the ball was out of his hands in 2.3 secs or he would throw it away.
and just because I have March Madness in my brain: If I were BYU, I would work on defending high pics along the 3line. That is all I would do to prep for VCU, work it til you can do it in your sleep
