This indecision is killing me

Last year? You must have short term memory loss. What was the main difference between the first 8 games and the last 4 games? Slovis got hurt and they played a Jr. college QB with no D1 experience. The way Arod called plays in key moments changed.
This year, we have 3 or 4 with experience. Two good players battling for the starting position. Every other position on offense is way better than last year. The question, AGAIN, is have the other teams also improved? Time will tell.

Not exactly true… we had last year. Cade Finnegan who had experience with Boise State as a starter.

I think the problem in my mind is if the O-line really has improved enough to open holes.

Did Finnegan play? No. It was Rezlaff who played. So, what I wrote is exactly true.

what a load of …

Slovis didn’t impress me at all. There wasn’t a huge dropoff IMO. Of any sport football is the most team oriented. It takes everyone to do their job and frankly the team didn’t measure up most of the season but when they did, the OC was right there to pull the rug out. So stop making weak excuses for last season, it doesn’t work.

The part about Slovis and Retzlaff yes. The part about Arod no.

That’s your opinion. I say yes. With Slovis we win 2 more games.

Nope. The OC was a big part of the reason Slovis was mediocre. The plays he called didn’t work to his strengths and that limited the offense. Same thing happened when Retzlaff took over… the offense was limited by the play calling.

It was pretty weak overall.

brutal… even these guys are asking the obvious question.

Nope, nope, nope…Slovis makes the plays that Retzlaff didn’t. End of story

Exactly! Slovis doesn’t make the throw. No pick 6 and BYU wins!

are you talking to yourself now? weird…weird

don’t be Uncle Rico. If they only could have put in Slovis we would have win. We lost, that’s the only reality that exists. Now I will grant you that the last two games of the season were close with two good teams, but well coached and/or tight knit teams will win these games every time. we were neither. To me saying that there were a lot of close game only proves my point.

Thanks for proving I am correct by posting both quotes. Had Slovis not been hurt, there would not have been a pass. Or, Slovis would not have thrown the ball because he would have seen the defender. Thanks!

Classic woulda coulda shoulda comment.

Totally and completely irrelevant to use hindsight and assume that what you are saying is legitimate and valid. It doesn’t matter because what happened is irreversible and frankly, the QB didn’t matter. I could have handed the ball off for the touchdown. It was a poor play call and a poor decision by those who make the decisions.

Saying anything about ā€œSlovisā€ is irrelevant.

Just acknowledge it and move on… time for this year to begin.

You say the result would be the same with Slovis. Why do you get to ā€œsupposeā€ it would be the same? But, I don’t? Makes complete sense we win that game and a couple others too.

I graduated from third grade like 50 years ago. That’s probably the last time I had an argument like this. Other than that I have nothing more to say.
