Time to call the score of the first game!

Too bad it is in Oregon; I might have crashed the party. :open_mouth:

It’s Retzlaff’. Didn’t see much blocking the first series.

He’s looking like Jake Heaps overthrowing open deep receivers and throwing behind receivers. I’d like to see Bohanan in the 2nd half.

Not impressed with Retzlaff’s accuracy. He missed a wide open Erickson that would have given BYU a 21-0 lead and possibly on the way to a blowout and now they have a game on their hands.

He does that. Like Heaps used to do. And, why wasn’t LJ playing more in the 1st half?

But what about the two deep to JoJo Phillips and one to Robert’s?

Granted that he overthrew Erickson, but overall, I think he is much improved over last year.

I am not impressed with the new and improved offensive line.

The line is much improved. They protect well. Need more on run plays.

That was a good throw for sure and he started very well and then had a rough few series where he missed a few easy throws and then he settled into a rhythm again and looked good. I think I was just frustrated with a few series in the 2nd quarter when it looked BYU was letting them back into the game. That drive at the end of the first half re-established BYU’s momentum.

SIU was running a 3-4 in the box. in the 2nd quarter, they ran 4 and 5 on the Dline. BYU struggled. Then in the 2nd half, SIU for no reason, went back to a 3 on the line set up but by then, BYU was well in control
