Bumping along an Argentine river, rio Lamay, Coach Knight leans over to me, but talks loud enough for everyone in the land cruiser to hear, ”Bailey, I never cheated, and all my players graduated”. He let that sink in for abut 4 miles, then starts on Dean Smith, “Dean was buying his kids”. Smith had 22 All Americans, all bought and paid for. We won our Nattys when I had maybe one AA.

Absolutely. We are a fan base with a bit of an edge to us so we love coaches that have that in their personality. He also kind of led the initial resurgence of the basketball program getting us to the tournament regularly and making some deeper runs than we had previously. It was just unfortunate that we must have worked out a deal to allow his son to takeover after he left. That guy was a complete disaster. But, Bobby gave us back some legitimacy in a time nobody was talking about Tech basketball.

Well, you guys have a great coach and team that I think are a bit underrated today. RR nation has a lot to cheer about on both FB and BB programs. I don’t think the Big 12 realized what they were getting when BYU joined, frankly we as fans are kind of shocked at how fast BYU made a name for it’s self in the Big 12. Together (TTU and BYU) are going to raise this league to another level.
