I don’t know a lot about Turkey but I do know they have allowed the church into the country. I think there are a couple of branches and a few missionaries. So they are at least open to the gospel and have been for quite some time.
The Church is in Russia. Doesn’t change what Putin and his commies are doing. Check out the Turkish government. See who and what is leading them.
Putin and his Oligarchs are much more like Fascists than Communists…but don’t worry about facts.
You may well prove correct in the long term. The Turkish voters in this last round finally seem to have said enough is enough for the Islamist nationalism brand that Erdogan has put in place during his reign. My concern is how much he has restructured the judiciary and how long it might take to undo.
I think of him in many respects as a Trumpian character though with an Islamist bent instead of a bent towards liberty. His influence on the fundamental structure of the Turkish government may be on the way out but not easy to wash out.
There’s very little difference between the two when it comes to genocide. One is more about religious and the other is secular and economics. Putin, a hard core KGB is mostly communist.
If I read correct, 99.7% of the people are Muslim. 250,000 out of 85 million are Christian. And, for Muslims to convert is highly unlikely. We convert the Christians only.
What the people want with the leaders cozy with Putin won’t matter in the long run. There’s a strong possibility of an alegience of Russia-Iran-Turkey-China building. Not good at all. Thank you Biden.
Putin’s regime isn’t strictly fascist or communist. It’s often labeled as a reactionary authoritarian regime. Some analysts see elements of fascism, like nationalism, a strong leader, and suppression of dissent. However, it doesn’t fit neatly into traditional definitions of fascism or communism.
The KGB, now operating under Putin’s regime, isn’t explicitly communist or fascist. Instead, they serve the centralized authoritarian state Putin has built, which incorporates elements of both ideologies but doesn’t fit neatly into either category.
As with all things in history, organizations evolve to maintain power and control, often looking very different from their origins.
Don’t like that Erdogan has gone after the Syrian Kurds, they are US allies and he has them labeled as Terrorists and vows to wipe em out.

The consequences of converting from Islam to another religion vary depending on the country’s stance on religious freedom. In some countries, like Iran and Saudi Arabia, the penalty for conversion can be as severe as execution, while in others, the punishment may be less extreme.
When I was first married and living in Salt Lake City, we had a neighbor from Iran who had to flee the country on foot after Ayatollah Khomeini took over from the Shah. He was once neighbors and friends with Khomeini’s sons and held a high-ranking position in a major corporation.
Before the revolution, he sent his wife and son to Primary Children’s Hospital in Utah for treatment of a serious illness. After the Shah’s fall, he managed to escape Iran and eventually migrated legally to the United States, reuniting with his family in Utah.
He lived in our neighborhood and was soon introduced to the LDS Church. He wanted to join, but feared that if the Iranian regime found out, they would harm his parents and family members. This story highlights the extreme measures some regimes take against those who convert to other religions.
Turkey is a secular state, and its constitution guarantees freedom of religion. However, the country imposes some restrictions on religious practices and conversions.
While individuals are technically allowed to convert from Islam to Christianity, the government has been known to enforce policies that can make it difficult for people to practice their new faith openly.

It may be true that Putin is more of a Fascist than a Communist but they are equally evil. The so called left hates Fascism but seems to not mind Communism. They label people who are opposed to socialism and communism as fascists. It is actually ridiculous because fascism and communism are authoritarian and evil. Communists tend have a religious type fanaticism about the utopian goals they have. Fascists are more pragmatic about their reasons for stealing from you and killing you.
Nazis would be an exception to that.
A minority view is that all totalitarians are on the left. That would include communists, fascists of all kinds (including Nazis), military dictatorships, and absolute monarchies. To the far right are anarchists and to the left of anarchy is pure Democracy. Smack dab in the middle are constitutional Republics. To the left of a republic is an oligarchy. Anarchy leads to totalitarian measures by governments. Most people don’t see it this way, but it is a more helpful way to view evil extremes. To one extreme are those who stamp out liberty and to the other extreme are those who follow no laws or rules.
The idea is that totalitarian governments kill their citizens and trample on individual rights and differences in the economic and political philosophies take a back seat to the oppression of the citizens. I don’t view fascists or communists with any preference in mind. Both are evil.

I find it amusing that people on both sides of the isle use these three terms interchangeably. They really do not understand the difference between the three.
There is always fascism techniques that communism uses. But their reasoning is quite different for using them. Fascism uses the belief system the people follow like Islam to justify their killing. Communism uses only secular reasons like economics to kill. Think Stalin and Hitler. Hitler was a student of the occult while Stalin had no religious belief.
Turkey is a secular government. Unfortunately, there is a lot of Islamic terrorist influencers in Turkey. Putin is using Islamists because of his KGB hatred of America and Israel.

China to me is a bad acter but 100 dependent on USA so I don’t think they will act on their threats. A guy like Trump would cut them off and make American industry hum again. Kamala would have us as their lap dogs. Count your blessings that Trump won.

Socialism can exist in a democratic framework but Marxism encompasses far more than the economic system of socialism. If you read the Communist Manifesto Marx was opposed to religion, the family, and the existing social order. Fascism is generally absolute in restricting individual rights but rather than the government owning the means to production the government just controls private enterprise and has a an unhealthy partnership with corporations. Both Communism and Fascism are garbage and socialism is vastly inferior to free market economics. Individual freedom can exist under socialism but economic freedom is highly restricted as opposed to free market capitalism.
We have aspects of socialism in the US. I would prefer we didn’t but in fact we do. Some is so deeply entrenched it would be next to impossible to get rid of it. The key is to put a stop to any more.
I’m aware of some countries allowing conversions. As you said at the end, the Muslims in the countries are accepting of it and in also would enact their “Honor Killings.” Now, Jews sometimes will hold a mourning ceremony as if the Jewish person has died to them spiritually. I don’t think that happened to me with my family. But, who knows if a cousin or someone did it. But, they don’t kill people for converting.
Not sure what brand of Fascism you are talking about…none that I know of is remotely friendly towards religion, organized or otherwise. Something that fascists and communists are quite mostly equivalent.

Both Stalin and Hitler killed Jews. No one talks much about this but in the Ukraine small towns mostly habited by News were starved and leveled. Including where my family were from. Millions? Stalin didn’t care if they were Jews as he killed as many as 30 million to fix the economy. He killed many others as well. Hitler used Jews as a scapegoat to kill to fix the economy. Oh, there were other reasons but the Jews killed the savior because of their religion 2000 years ago.
