Wyoming, points of a road win for BYU

No WR wants to be open and get a target only to have the pass be off target. Of course Lassiter would be frustrated. But he also is a team guy and said the right thing in public. I HOPE he was frustrated. I want my wideouts greedy for the ball if they have the game to back it up, which Lassiter clearly DOES.

Retzlaff direct quote was "That he (Retzlaff) was pissed that he missed the pass to Lassitter and went to him at half time, to tell him he basically will make it right in the second half. That is when Lassiter said the “team” comment.

If I was a ball player and was frustrated with a bad pass and then the QB came to me to basically apologize for the bad throw, I think I would think that is being accountable and appreciate that he acknowledged the issue.

In other words, that build team chemistry.

Those referees must be from WCC (basketball) ?
More likely from
M(WCC). Is that better?

Still doesn’t mean he wants Ratzleff gone. It doesn’t mean he was frustrated at him too. You are reading your own prejudices into what he said.

Where did that come from? NO ONE has said that Lassiter wanted Retzlaff (correct spelling) gone!

Retzlaff was talking about how the chemistry is better this year and he brought up the bad toss as an example of how the chemistry works better.

Based on your comment, I have verified that you did not indeed watch the video!
My point:

Then I further explained the point I was making:

So, tell me exactly how I misinterpreted what Jake said?

the Nose???

Big or little “Nose” :open_mouth:

I only listen to the game. During live KSL radio, Olsen said there were some Bad holding calls when those referees, whoever they are.
It really sucks when I no longer can see the game
But I would love to go to just one Basketball game this season at the Marriott Center just to feel the energy with our cougar fans

Maybe Retzlaff should practice what he preaches then. I am still not sold on his talent and ability to lead the team to a meaningful win. BYU has played two very bad teams and one that was obviously over rated. I will reserve my accolades when I see some consistency and a QB that can settle in and run the offense fluidly and with pace and consistency.

That is your choice to make, but my point was not about whether Retzlaff was a good or needs improvement QB, it was about what he said about how the chemistry on the team has changed from last year, where now, it is more about “team” than “stats”.

BTW: you should read this article; I think you’re in the same boat as the author.
BYU Football’s greatest dilemma: Is Jake Retzlaff actually good? Player rating (lawlessrepublic.com)

Well, this week should answer a lot of questions. A loss doesn’t mean BYU and Retzlaff are bad, worse or as bad as last year. Often 2 good teams play well and one will lose and one will win. But, we will see if BYU has improved overall.
The statistics may show his ratings pretty good this year compared with other QBs. But, that also could say this years crop of QBs are down from years past. There may be more injuries of the good QBs. We know what we see. So, let’s see this Saturday.

There was a time when I thought about being a sportswriter but there are so few out there that I never thought I had a chance. Oh well, this is about as close as it gets now. The article is spot on. That is exactly what I would have written. I know other people see it as well, this author being one of them.
