Again back to my point… These were projection based on what BYU did last year, but when you see that we could have won 1,2 or even 3 games this year and the fact that the reason we lost was because of AROD play calling, that is why they are calling for his resignation.
We should have beaten Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, but bone head play calling cost us the game.
The Kansas game would have been another game if ARod knew what he was doing.
Most of the games all have two factors in common:
ARod is not good a play calling.
ARod does adjust during the game nor after halftime.
Just saw Sark make a couple of bonehead calls. Saw Reid do the same thing. It comes with the territory of coaching. Execution of a play is good, you are a great coach. Bad execution and you are not. If it’s going to take 2 to 3 years, then Arod will have to change as well. I think we will see. He certainly wasn’t hallows by the bonehead schedule.
BYU has got to develop QB talent. If I was AROD, I would work closely with Retzlaff to see if he can get his passing honed. If not, Ryder Burton or Nick Billops, is the next man up. If recruiting the transfer portal, find a stud with more than 1 yr of eligibility.
ARod cannot claim Wilson or Hill as Floyd points out. The only thing ARod can claim is that he snatched defeat out of Wins vs. OK and OSU
This what you like to do: show some obscure incident to back up your point of view:
The fact that both Sark (won multiple championship in different conferences) and Reid (won two super bowls and multiple Playoff games) should give these coaches a pass because they are “right more than they are wrong”, where ARod has not proven to be even in the same universe as these coaches and has proven three times (twice at Utah and once at BYU) that he is not capable of making good decisions on play calling or adjusting to what the defense has to offer.
Both Sark and Reid has proven they can do both beyond anything ARod has EVER done.
The topic is making a mistake at crucial times in a drive like at the one yard line. All coaches sometimes make a mistake. I pointed out highly talented coaches make the same mistakes as Arod. It happens to all coaches.
I am tired of you crediting the basketball team. You were one of the only people on this board who wanted to keep Dave Rose employed as the bb coach. You were mad about getting Pope …. So take pride in what Pope has accomplished but own up to you not wanting him to be the coach!
Sark is 13-1 this year and earned a CFP berth and beat Alabama. ARod is not a Sark …. Who are you trying to kid Hopper?? Andy Reid has won Super Bowls. ARod hasn’t won anything and he won’t …… in college football. He is a terrible OC and Sitake and Holmoe allowed him to stay at BYU. They will sleep in the bed ARod has made next year and then blame him rather than themselves for an inept offense next year.
But the one by Vanquish the Foe says that Watson believes AROD is a good OC.
"! Coach Roderick is one of the main reasons I committed. He has a rhyme and reason to everything! The offense is so organized and balanced. It picks defenses apart, but also has a lot of big plays down the field!”
This does not look or sound like the offense I have been seeing over the last three years.
Pmac, I’m giggling. I still don’t know what a postulate is but do know that you made one math error: saying Mahomes/Reid are only 20x more likely to succeed than Retz/Arod…
