Why do you leave off what she said after that!? Why?
You have no idea about the regulations insurance companies have to adhere to. The financial services is the most highly regulated in the business world. Not only by the SEC and FINRA, but state insurance departments and the Department of Labor and more. Good grief. Let’s not forget about Obamacare and the problems it has caused.
“As Fox News reported, the lawmaker said, “it was wrong but also served as a ‘warning’ of sorts that ‘you can only push people so far. We’ll say it over and over. Violence is never the answer. This guy [Luigi Mangione] gets a trial who’s allegedly killed the CEO of UnitedHealth[care], but you can only push people so far, and then they start to take matters into their own hands.’”
She had to walk back the idea the CEO was pushing people too far with something to do with healthcare making the murder the fault of the CEO. We know Democrats want single payor healthcare and it’s time to make the change. Much like it’s the guns fault. Jim said the same basic thing.
Typical of you reading something and then figuring out a way to change the meaning or generalize it and then start an argument. You argue with everything I post and frankly, I take it as a sign that what I am posting is generally accurate and true. Thanks for the vote of confidence. I wouldn’t be as satisfied if you agreed with what I post.
You won’t be happy until we have reverted back to the dark ages. Tell me how the direction things are headed is not that way? The light of Christ is waning. There is a minority who are doing their best to keep it going, to rely on a loving Heavenly Father for guidance, to follow the counsel of a living prophet, etc. That is the answer, not today’s “capitalism” and the greed that seems to accompany it. Of course I don’t approve of taking someone’s life so stop portraying anything I post in that light. Murder is ALWAYS wrong.
My only point was to explain why it is happening. The insurance industry is rife with dishonesty and corruption. Just because you happen to work in it doesn’t change that fact.
No, I was right about what you wrote. You even said I would react to it and disagree. You are free to voice your political and economic opinions and beliefs. But, please understand that there is no justification for a cold blooded assignation of a CEO, husband and father. None, nada. Senator Warren found this out by first stating the murder was wrong to immediately follow up with a justification for this and saying there will be more because of blah, blah, blah. But this is what those wanting a change from capitalism for various reasons do. This is what has to stop.
Dark ages? What kind of economic and political governments existed during the dark ages? Our free market capitalism was unknown until 1776. You had cast systems, socialism and all manner of tyrannical governments. If we are so close to the dark ages, it isn’t due to free market capitalism. It’s communist, socialists and anti-Semite fascists who are trying to take over. They are hoping for the government to fully take over our healthcare and insurance which will take away many unalienable rights of the living and the unborn.
Easy call because you have NEVER agreed with anything I’ve posted. Every comment you made in this thread has no relevancy to anything I said. You absolutely don’t want to understand or agree with anything I post. You live in a world with blinders on, only seeing one perspective, looking straight ahead and NOTHING anyone says is something you will agree with, even in part. It’s one of the strangest things I can remember experiencing. I think every person who posts on this board has considered NOT posting again based on your replies. It’s like you’ve created an identity here and you are committed to sticking with it.
No who isn’t living in relevancy? Everything I’ve responded to is directly to your posts. I think sometimes you post the things you do just to get a rise out of me. Yep, that’s what you are doing.
You really have to take the bias glasses of and pay attention. The health insurance industry is different than the healthcare systems. While there is over lap, because of the government’s too much interference, the insane costs have gone insanely higher and higher. Also, in the case of United Healthcare, their costs put them in a place of having to reduce their coverage in many areas. Personally, I had a UCH Medicare Advantage HMO for 3 years that paid well for everything I and my wife need. But, in 2025, they discontinued their HMO’s. There are a handful of insurance companies that still carry HMOs. But, for how long.
I was watching today a program on ESPN about Boomer Esiason and his son’s fight with Cystic Fibrosis and the fact foundations like Boomer’s is the reason a drug was found that saves 90% of those with CF. Capitalism done right saves lives. Also reduces costs dramatically. You remember back when we were young how our parents could actually pay for our medical needs. Major Medical insurance was just beginning and that’s all my parents needed. Our family doctor was able to afford to have an x-ray machine in the office. Now, not a chance! Government and lawyers have interfered.
Your insurance company has to approve everything first and they know what it will all cost. Ask your insurance company. Pretty simple to find out how much medical things cost. And, it’s weird that other countries have people who can afford it come to America for serious diseases including socialist Canada.
The Federal Government has to be shrunk down as to not interfere with just about everything. It’s always the reason for insane inflation.
Boise looks like they’re going to lay an egg. Making BYU look like the better choice to get into the playoffs. Also Bama lost their bowl game and didn’t look very good there. So they don’t have much of an argument that they should have gotten in.
Boise would lose to BYU unless they were home on the Smurf turf.
Bama would of killed Mich except they played in a deluge…setting up Mich for what they do best…pound the ball.
BYU’s 3 turnovers vs. Colo would of gotten BYU beat by any and all 12 CFP teams. Colo was going to lose this game to any team they played.
Fr. and Soph getting major awards before a bowl game=lose of focus. Saunders and Hunter partied too hard and they don’t care in the least that they embarrassed Prime, we famous, we rich, we headed to the NFL…Bye!
Arizona not looking great in there first drive. Had to get helped out by penalties just to get a field goal. Then Texas goes down and scores and two plays. I hope Arizona doesn’t get blown out.
You’re probably right. though we destroyed Colorado, we didn’t look the best. But as I’ve said before we need to change the perception of the Big 12 and Boise losing last night like they did just adds more to people rethinking or questioning the college playoff committees choices. Helping the Big 12 perception
This is one of the reasons I dislike bye’s…
Texas has already played, and ASU has had to wait additional week. “Sometimes” the chemistry and timing of the offense can get out of Wack due to a long lay over.
I am not BYU could have done any better than BSU or ASU, I guess it depends on which team shows up the BYU team that played Utah or the team that beat Colorado?
I am not saying we are a bad team, just an inconstant team where either the players or coaches have brain farts and do something really stupid, or they play lights out and shuts down everyone.
I believe that is what Jim is alluding too with his posts, that the inconsistencies are driving him crazy. because they don’t seem to be improving on being more consistent.
