Covid 19 and sports

This virus will peak in the next 3 weeks. There in a ray of hope that the HEAT of spring will end it. Anything over 27 C and it dies. That boils down to about 72 degrees. It should be a distant thought by the end of May (fingers crossed)

I professionals are saying:
Wash with real soapy scrub for over 20 seconds also work under the finger nails. Soap breaks down the fatty covering that protects the virus. alcohol also destroys it, at least a 65% solution wipes. Bleach also kills it.

Social distancing is paramount but if you feel compromised, touched or sneezed on, you can go home and gargle with a salt solution, vanage? or do a sinus rinse, again with a saline solution. It will clean the nasel area, where the darn thing loves to grow in. (this is particularly good info as I have the dickens trying to keep my hands away from rubbing my eyes and nose_

When this thing hits the masses, and it will, those that are at the highest risk should be gargling and sinus rinses both morning and night as well as carry alcohol wipes everywhere you go…it could save your life.

Hits the masses? Who says it hasn’t already and most have no signs and others minor illness. I’ve heard that this has infected 10 to 20 times more than what’s being reported.

I thought this article was really helpful understanding the differences between what the Spanish flu did against what Covid-19 is doing now.

by the way, They now report 1 million of diagnosed cases, with 50K deaths. Well if my math adds up right that is a death rate of 5%. Which is getting pretty far up there.

The estimates from the experts are that the actual number of infections is 10 to 20 times that much. So, the death rate is more closer to the flu.
Also, COVID19 is supposed to be more contagious than the seasonly flu. But, so far, compared to H1N1 where 60 million world wide were infected and 38 million in the U.S., the worldwide infections is just 1 million. U.S. infections is about 225,000. And, the curve is flattering already.

Where do you get the numbers for the swine flu and how long did the pandemic last?

On line. Google it.

Well, only using the right hand to take the sacrament has been codified in the new handbook. Look it up.

What if someone doesn’t have a right hand? That must be the mark of the beast?

By the way is that in Handbook 1, 2 or the mystical 3?

Obviously, if someone doesn’t have a right hand, then they’d use their left. If they have no arms, then someone would have to give it to them.

There is only one handbook now, and it’s online and available to all.

I didn’t see anything about how to partake of the sacrament like using the right hand. What page is that on?

I found it and stand corrected. It does say use the right hand ā€œwhenever possible.ā€ Sounds more like a policy than a doctrine.

18.9.4

As you noted, it also allows for your amputee scenario.

I don’t get hung up on right/left hand, but there are things like breaking the bread, covering them with white cloth, etc. that some members are clamoring to change, and I don’t like that. I think there is essential symbolism of doctrinal importance that should not be changed, even in a pandemic. (Some are advocating for pre-blessed emblems under ā€œsanitaryā€ conditions to be distributed in containers to homes. Hard pass from me).

Really? I know some members takes things to the extreme, but that is down right silly. At least in my opinion.

But then again, in Utah, where there is a great majority of members of our faith, has been hoarding TP, cleaning supplies, etc… Which our leaders has asked us not to do.

How about a group on ZOOM with the group having a piece of bread and cup of water in pre-sanitizes packages while a Priesthood Holder leading the group blesses the bread and water?

What color do people want for the cloth on the sacrament tables? That’s kind of weird?

I’ve always seen the Sacrament cloth to be white. Is that policy?

By the way, I’ve heard in Utah that after the virus and earthquake, that a lot of people are expressing interest in re-activating…is that true?

I’m sure it is policy. I don’t remember seeing it in any of the scriptures. Same with covering the sacrament. To me, that’s just a good health and cleanliness thing so no one sneezes or coughs on the bread or water while it sits there before blessing and passing.

As far as the last day occurrences, we should watch to see if there are more earthquakes in diverse places and more diseases come at a faster rate.

White is the symbol of purity in most faiths… That is why you wear white in the temple, a symbol of clean and purity.

As for the people in Utah reactivation, not sure because all missionaries are under order to stay in their apartments.

I know a lot of ā€œActiveā€ members are rethinking their life choices since the earthquakes.

Lets see if I can get Floyd all worked up… So, white people are pure and everyone else is filthy?
Just playing with you…

Regarding Covid, a lot of people here in Oregon are so overboard with their anxiety. We were on a family walk between Conference Sessions. While we approached some people coming toward us, they walked way off the path and in the grass as we passed so we ended up being some 30 feet apart. Really? Uh, I don’t think you can get it from walking past someone a few feet apart. Dumb Oregonians.

Only if you sneeze or cough on them. And, that would be considered a terrorist attach. No kidding. Pathetic times we live in. Satan is gripping people’s fears and I’m afraid we are helping by being complicit in the hysteria.
Also, there is Hydroxochroriquine and azythromiocin combo that many doctors around the world say works. And yet, hardly anything from the task force. It’s worthless for big pharmaceuticals to market so they must be part of a coverup. That would really make me mad. To think that social distancing is all we have when we have medicine that may work and it’s being covered up by Fauci and Birx.
