Dance Watch-BYU

Wisconsin, another surging team that was out

Iowa at Minn today
Indiana at Mich.
Memphis at UCon,
Utah at Oregon
ASU at Cal
SDSU at BSU
This time of year is Cre Cre, buckle up

Pepperdine looked good yesterday, as the Zags were without Tillie again. He is a big part of their team and we will see if he plays Saturday. SMC will most likely have at least one more loss so the Pepperdine game looms large for outright second place going into the tournament, which would probably mean SD againšŸ¤”

SD on the road would be a far different team, especially when shooting 3s. Not at all worried about SDU in Vegas. I watched Gonzaga a little bit last night and they were sloppy, Pepperdine at home feelin sassy. Pomeroy used to give home teams 4 points but now I think he is up to 8 points for Home Court Advantage.

I’d guess eight is more like it. The /Gonzaga/Pepperdine game had been sold out for weeks. That was their best effort

He knows the Zags really well and is reasonably accurate.
I think SMC is much to close to the bubble to think that they will be dancing for sure at this point. They need to put up a show against the Zags in the Kennel. They need to win out…
BYU SMC in the WCC semifinal will likely be for an NCAA birth. Winner dances loser heads to the nether regions.

If BYU can beat the Zags in either up coming contest then they will be a lock…of course assuming they take care of business in their other two games…

Indiana and Memphis are the latest casualties. both bubbles

Indiana has been nothing but a bubble wanna-be for a long time now. If they weren’t big 10 they wouldn’t even be in the conversation.

And I say that sadly, as I have Indiana sheepskin on my wall.

Disagree this time. The people in charge want BYU in the Dance. BYU ends up in second place in league play they will be dancing. Key is no bad losses. That means SCU and Pepp. Simple as that.

Who are you referring to?

All those that run mock rankings. Everyone keeps giving you this information but you don’t acknowledge them. I understand you a half empty guy but really…

Thanks for the compliment.

And thanks for the information that the pundits who run mock drafts are the guys in charge.
I’ll make sure I remember that every day of my life in the future.

You’re welcome…Anytime.

national polls are finally catching up to the statistical polls.

Just how big is this win??? You have to go back to the Jimmer years to witness a bigger time in BYU Basketball.

The win jumps BYU into a #5/6 range seeding wise, as predicted. That is also a 100% chance of advancing past the 1st round in the big dance.

Couple that with a ton of ranked teams that lost on Saturday. Some big matchups today and BYU could really climb in the rankings tonight. #18 or 19 anybody?

You have to give a lot of credit to Dave Rose, these were his recruits.

But Pope has made this place electric!!! and it will be extremely hard to keep him at BYU

The great thing to is that Haws has validated himself as the one star of the LP3 trio that has become what many hoped for when he was recruited. I give the credit, to Pope for helping him find the extra incentive to find that special level

Haws was always a star. I watched him grow at Lone Peak and he has started every game at BYU, the only true knock on him was his defense and Rose didn’t do much to encourage that…

The true news today is Where will BYU land in the rankings…

BYU comes in at #16 in the ESPN Power Rankings

Remember all the slams you guys were dumping on Haws. He was a hero ball dude. Selfish and on and on. I didn’t see it but now he’s ready for the NBA. What if we had run him off like we did Emery and Mika? slight_smile:
Hopefully as fans and alumni we have learned something. We could have had this last year as well.

BYU comes in at 17th in the AP
#18 Coaches poll
#16 in Pomeroy

Nobody ran Mika off or even criticized him and your average for making correct prognostications is some where in the dark single digits-if Hawks ever returns he can double exclamation point that!
