But there are a lot of democrats that have worked with the republicans to try to avoid the current cesspool in government (far right vs far left) and actually get things done.
So not all democrats are evil.
Just like all republicans are good.
The problem is that both party leadership got their current position, not because of their ideals, but using the political power they have against those that would oppose them. This is factual, not hearsay or anything like that.
It all comes down to the political clout a elected official has.

I have good source inside DC that tells me that there are some good democrats that want to work with them to come up with the best policies for the people. These guys do not come from the Big Liberal cities, mostly from the middle of the country.
