Post KU game thoughts

:rofl::rofl::rofl:
Good grief Charlie Brown. Matich isn’t trained? That’s your reasoning? He’s plenty trained. The pictures I presented showed no contact with helmets. Kingston himself he was hit in the chin. Even in your late picture it would be impossible for that to have happened with the helmets since Bryant’s shoulder hit the chin. Why do you persist? No one has agreed with you.

I see linemen not hitting the 1st guy they see in front of them. It’s like they think Martin can get by that 1st salvo. Either we are too slow or poorly coached. I see terrible technique. Sitake is right when he says it is not time to hit the panic button and A rod saying, it’s something that can be fixed…so quit talking and fix the dam thing.

Hopper, seriously, you made your point 50 times ago, move on. we get it

Lamier said something but that wasn’t good enough for Floyd. What about you? When Floyd doesn’t let it go you say nothing. What’s your problem?

I actually thought BYU looked better than Kansas in the first half. In typical fashion they did not look better in the second half. That has always been an issue with BYU. What halftime adjustments were made to improve the running game issues. The run blocking was non existent and pass protection many times was bad. It’s hard to understand.

When the running game isn’t working there are other plays that can have the same effects with getting short yard gains if 4-6 yards so 3rd downs are more manageable.
We often look like the less talented team. But our offensive schemes overcome this. More creative plays will help.

Ok lots of interesting comments and I’m not going to debate them. I felt the hit should have been reviewed. It was a violet play and there most definitely was helmet to helmet contact. That ALWAYS gets reviewed.
If you can’t run, you need more short dump off passes, especially on 1st down. You need at least 4 yards on first down if you are going to be effective offensively. You have what you have with the OL-I don’t see that changing right away, so your OC better come up with something to get yardage on 1st down, not 1 and 2 yard losses. I was disappointed in BYU in the second half of the Kansas game. I felt their defensive intensity let down. Maybe the interception led to that. They better come out in high gear Friday and physically take it to Cincinnati, or this will be a long season. This is the real deal and there is a lot of talent on that squad, so suck it up and make a statement

I think we mostly agree that the play should have been reviewed. Was there any helmet contact? Matich said no that it was a clean hit. If there was, it wasn’t because Bryant led with the helmet. He clearly led with the shoulder driving in with his shoulder. Kingston himself said he was hit in the chin. But that was with the shoulder. His arm and elbow were also used stopping Kingston in his tracks. The fact he was hit high up should have caused a review. We are in agreement there. The physics just doesn’t add up for leading and launching with the crown of the helmet.

And, everything else is stated as I already have. So we are again in agreement. :wink:

Did you see that Neon Dion suspended two players on the spot when they kneeled for the National Anthem…
