Puca Nacua's legend grows

Thank you fish for being the voice of reason and rational thinking… finally.

The rest of you are being pansified by current trend and societal influence. If you want to jump in that boat, be my guest.

It was nothing, just like most of the stuff that gets penalized in the NFL today. It won’t be too much longer before they do away with tackle football and put flags on… then everyone will be safe and “happy”.

I must say I was a bit surprised by Larimer reply… apparently living in Oregon has gotten in your head. I’ve done my best to stay strong and true here in California… it isn’t easy. I mean… look at Hopper’s reply. I never thought I’d see the day when he went along with some liberal, sissy call by the NFL but there he is, embracing it.

Would you actually read my reply. Did I agree that Puka should have been disqualified? No. I clearly agreed with what Bradshaw actually said. He agreed it was a punch but not to the extent of disqualification. As you have gotten old, you skip about every other word written.

It was a reluctant agreement by Bradshaw. He has to tow the company line, just like the weak announcers for the game. They are puppets, like most liberals, to some other, behind the scenes puppetmaster, that is calling the shots.

3 minutes into the MNF game they made sure to show Taylor Swift and put her name up on the screen, as if anyone out there doesn’t know who she is. I have made a concerted effort to maintain my perspective and standard of truth over the years and I’m not going to let some stupid NFL announcer change that. A “punch” like that supposed punch by Nacua wouldn’t have phased the guy even without a helmet. Like I said, it was more of a shoving fist motion than a “punching” motion and yes, there is a difference. One makes your head turn a little, the other would likely knock you out. 25 years ago the ref would have laughed and told them to knock it off. I’m surprised they don’t suspend Puka for the rest of the season.

I already knew what Floyd’s perspective would be. He would call a penalty if Nacua had sneezed on the guy. Not saying he is one, but left leaning liberals see everything as a threat to anyone. Everyone is becoming pansified… not sure if that is a word but it fits.

Two things that are separate issues. First, the punch was a right hook to the side of the helmet. While it was a weak shot, it was a punch. And the rule says personal foul, 15 yards.
Second, does it warrant expulsion? Bradshaw said no. I don’t think he had to say this or that for anyone. He was clear that it didn’t warrant expulsion. That’s what I also wrote.
As far as the safety rules that weren’t around decades ago, safety is their reason. It’s still a violent physical game. Better equipment and keeping players from playing with concussions. Better emphasis on technique and skill.
The Gospel was never something to be forced on people. The secular atheists have their own anti-Christ beliefs to force people to be nice to each other. What we get is corruption on the left as they do and behave exactly to opposite of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Thank the good Lord that we have Fish and Jim to let all the rest of us unreasonable and illogical people know what is what.

what would we ever do without thier such enlightened minds and knowledge.

Whether you like the rule or not, swinging a closed fist is an ejectable offense. it doesnt matter what we think or feel. that is the rule because not enforcing it can lead to retailation of a more severe nature.

I have seen it first hand in games i have officated.

but go ahead Jim, keep telling everyone they are stupid for thinking differently.

This it your best post yet. Nice job. Throw in how society is the reason for throwing punches in a football game too.
I would say that the way you put the act of closed fist punching is an ejectable offense also means that the referees have the discretion on whether to eject or not the player. These are NFL players and that punch was a weak right hook and as Bradshaw said, should not have caused and ejection of Puka.

There is some truth to this, that the way movies and games shows that using physical violence is a way to resolve issues.

But no, I think Puka said it best himself “He got caught up in the moment and did something stupid”. It happens, he will learn from it and move on.

Unfortunately, the answer is “No”, when there is a rule that says, “automatic ejection”, there is no leeway for the official to make an exception, he must eject the player.

It is one of the reasons why I do not like “automatic” rules, there is always a gray area that needs to be considered.

I think to be honest, most officials do not like disqualifying players and will go to great lengths not to do it. But the NFL has changed a bunch of rules that makes no sense to me.

Hmmm… sounds like our current political system and society we live in. So yes Hopper I think we can point a finger at our culture and draw some conclusions.

There’s still a lot of good people out there to jump to that conclusion every time.

Nacua has a historic day today. 167 yards Rec receiving another 20yds rushing, including the rushing tds and a catch to close out the game

NINETEEN combined targets (14) and carries (5), including one of the best catches in the League this year. What a kid.

What Puka Nacua said on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ – Deseret News

Puka said, “I don’t know what division we are in”.
ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter concluded his own appearance on the show as Nacua joined. But before Schefter left, he asked Nacua if he “understood where (the Rams) sit now in relation to the other teams in the NFC West?”

“I don’t know where we sit in standings to them, but I know we play somebody in our division now on Thursday,” Nacua said before laughing. “Hey, we won on Sunday. That’s what they ask for me to do.”

It was recently revealed that Nacua didn’t know which division the Rams played in when reporters asked Nacua on Nov. 21 if the tight race to win the NFC West affected the team’s approach every week, according to the Rams.

“No, if I’m being honest with you guys, somebody told me we’re in the NFC West, so that’s good to know, I guess. Yeah, one day at a time is my mentality. I feel like I say that to you guys a lot, but then it’s whatever game we have coming up on Sunday or whatever the day that week it falls on,” he said.

Sounds like he came from BYU. Doesn’t care what the haters have to say. He just goes out and does his job the best he can. Minds his own business. It would be corrupt alumni would do the same. Let the coaches do their job and enjoy the wins. Especially 10 wins out of 12.

Who are the haters and what did they say?

Stop tossing lures out. The comments are in the Nacua thread and about Nacua.

Has nothing to do with 10 out of 12 whatever… The Rams record is 7-6.

Oh, they know who they are.

Do you work and sleep in front of your computer? If I remember correctly YOU were the one that was hating on Nacua last season when he was breaking receiving records for rookies.

That is simply a wrong take on what I was saying.

What you said Exactly was:

Wow, I see both played “together” in their last game. Point Jim!

Puku is now one of Stafford favorite targets, because of what he does AFTER he catches the ball.

And there it is for all the world to see!

So, I believe Jim is right in the assessment of your comments about Puka Nucca.

Hopper knew all along that Nacua was NFL talent, he was just trolling us poor fans on Cougarfan.

All good points, Floyd.

Oh, and by the way. Nacua is LA’s go to guy.

That’s not saying what you are saying. I did question whether Nacua would be good of. But, I’m not minimizing or downplaying his accomplishments. I never did that. So, only you and Jim can have opinions about players? Narcissists.
