I sure as hell will match my intellect, thinking and comprehension to yours any minute of any day of any year of any decade. You seem not to care about anything but getting scores of millions of dollars to buy a super-duper head coach. Don’t you get it, the Church will NEVER fork out the kind of money you desire to buy the kind of head coaches you want.
I don’t recall ripping you in my post, however, I can play that game very well. Your choice.
That’s true. Unless they could be shown a cost analysis showing the university would make money by spending more for a coach by raising tuition. I doubt that the analysis would show that. For another university like Alabama maybe.
Does this mean Romney isn’t reading through his progressions?
[/quote]qb
No grasshopper. Instead it means that he has a very high football
QB IQ and has a fast read through his progressions and as
most, (not all), QB’s are taught in the NFL, get rid of the ball as fast as possible, and in most cases, fast ASAP means, 1,2, release.
The Church does not raise tuition in order to buy and sell CocaCola or sell you drugs from a pharmacy, or sell you clothes from department stores, should we talk about the media, radio, television, news papers, web sites etc.
The same investment arm of the Church, could, if it would, invest in BYU football. Football is not doctrine. Football is business.
College football is many, many, many millions of dollars per year buisiness that could be increased in value many, many times with the proper investment.
Thank you,
I appreciate all intelligent replies. I want all of us to think about the current high value of our team now, and how much better it could be with the proper investment strategy.
Yet many non-members associate the Church with BYU Football and is a missionary tool. I’m sure they feel Sitaki can lengthen his stride and beat the
P-5 teams and beat the teams we should.
Sorry, not a good idea.
Raising tuition cost to fund college is a very bad idea.
With the US Economy, if you tried to stimulate growth, would you raise the interest rates? Heck no, and you would raise tuition either to fund proper competative salary for top notch coaches. Instead, you would use the investment arm of the Church.
Take a deep breath, take two aspirins, get plenty of fresh air and try to rest for at least 8 hours per night and you will be fine.
Your remarks above show real intelligence, and comprenhension of what is trying to be said and indeed, you do display your intellect for all to see.
Thank you for your prognostication.
I like Hill a lot and if he gets the start, I will be happy and wish him well. He is one of our 3 best quarterbacks. I am not trying to promote either one over another. I just like to give credit to our 3rd string QB for the great job in the upset win over #14 in the Nation, Boise State. This takes nothing away from the other 10 playes on the offense, and it takes nothing away from our other quarterbacks. I feel blessed that we have such quarter back debth as we do have this season.
That will never happen! My youngest son is attending at the U (no interest in any sports) and he over heard from someone saying tuition is too high and they are paying those coaches part from tuition. I told my kid that is not how it works.
Sale tickets, tv revenue, boosters and etc.: those money goes to coaches and athletic program.
Yeh not taking anything away from Romney at all. He has played well. Dual threat is the thing now days, especially if you have protection issues. Alabama. LSU, Clemson have excellent drop back qbs
Have a million, billion different attitudes than me, I could not care less. Your message was condescending and a putdown and that is what riled me up. My reaction had nothing to do with grasshopper, he has never said a snotty thing to me.
" Who says the investment arm of the Church has the 8 million a year you want to invest in just one coach at BYU?’
There you go again grasshopper, Only you on this entire site, says anything at all about 8Million per year for one coach, so to answer your question, grasshopper, I would have to say “grasshopper”.
THE STATEMENT WAS,
“You should be asking these questions to grasshopper. Each of you seem to be equal with your thinking and comprehension”.
If you feel insulted to be compared in this way to grasshopper, then I must say that I’m sorry, but this really surprises me as the two of you seem to agree with each other on every issue, and your rational seems to be almose exactly alike.
If you find this to be an insult, then--------I don’t know what to tell you Arkie coug
