Socialist lunatic sanders now the dem front runner - yes this is flame throwing

I wonder when I see the candidates left on the stage supporting things like Medicare for all and the green new deal climate change. Amy K. is the only one against Medicare for all but for climate change and all that cost. The moderates almost really don’t exist. The 50 years of indoctrination spill over into the Republicans moderates like Romney. If Trump wins, the House goes Republican and the Senate remains Republican, they have to squash the Department of Education and stop the leftists who are running the Universities. The Capitalists have to get back into the Education system.

So, Bernie Sanders was praising China for taking the most people out of extreme poverty in the history of the world. Any real student of history knows Mao is the one that experimented with Socialism that 45 million people died from hunger while hundreds of millions of people were subject to totalitarianism and brutality. In 1981, over 800 million people in China were in extreme poverty under Sanders type of Socialism. Then, China switched course and went to capitalism where farmers owned their farms and people owned their property. Under the capitalist system, by 2015, only 10 million are now under extreme poverty. So, Sanders is praising the economic system that he hates but doesn’t know he’s doing it? He tried the same thing with Scandinavia and now Cuba. The guys perfect for Trump and the Republicans to trample on in the elections. GO BERNIE!

Explain this comment please? I am not sure what you are driving at.

Because in Utah there are a lot of Charter schools supported by Capitalist companies, who promote that students will do better than public education.

In my opinion which is based on actual “Data” from Utah’s State Board of Education is that the Charters do not do a better job of educating our children than public schools do.

In most cases, the test scores comes in lower.

Unlike the systems of most other countries, Department of Education is highly decentralized, and the federal government and Department of Education are not heavily involved in determining curricula or educational standards (with the exception of the [No Child Left Behind Act]. This has been left to state and local school districts. The quality of educational institutions and their degrees is maintained through an informal private process known as [accreditation], over which the Department of Education has no direct public jurisdictional control.

  1. Utah is but one state. Mostly still conservative even with Bonehead Romney.
  2. The topic is how did we get to this progressive socialist point where a major contender in a major political party is a socialist/communist.
  3. 50 years ago, the radical socialist/communist left realized they could not get enough Democrats behind an authoritarian socialist movement. The likes of Aulinsky, Ayers, Hillary and others decided to go back to school and become the future leaders in politics but especially in the education system. Especially in the universities. Today, leftists run state run colleges and universities. And, have infiltrated many private institutions.
  4. We see the young accepting socialism. Even communist leaders like the Castro’s and Chavez’s and other totalitarians. Sanders out there saying Castro did good things in Cuba. What people were forced to learn to read was the communist manifesto in brainwashing camps. Those several hundred thousand people who were butchered by Chey were those who refused. Do you see younger people wearing Chey t-shirts? Appalling!
  5. We need to reverse this. A Republican Government is the only way to stop funding money to radical universities. Universities have to allow for opposing opinions. They don’t.

Even if the Castro dictators elevated each and every one of their “citizens” to triple the brain power of Einstein, the fact that they murdered tens of thousands or scores of thousands of Cubans does not make that a credible achievement. The same with the Chinese communist dictators who murdered TENS OF MILLIONS.

Actually there are 3 dangerous philosophies that permeate education and drive the agenda. Those philosophies are Neo-Darwinism, Socialism, and Atheism. All are false religions and their temple of worship reside on college campuses. I’ll elaborate later. I am at work on lunch break. That may sound like far right rhetoric but I think it is true.

Thanks,
For the diatribe, but that is not what I was asking you about.
You made a statement in your comment, which was not clear what you meant by that comment.

This is what you said:

So Again, “What do you mean” by “Capitalist have to get back into Education”?

I do agree with you about Colleges promoting liberal (socialist) views over conservative views.

But the US Department of Education has very little to do with persuading colleges to be more capitalistic over socialist. Most of the money that Universities get is through private donations (companies), Research grants (which is a biggie) from both Federal Agencies as well as Corporations. Tuition is a minor part of it.

I should also point out that Ronald Reagan was very much in support of the Department of Education to provide State’s with adequate funding.

I can understand the other two, but why Neo-Darwinism?

just curious, because my wife and I had this discussion just last week, where you kind of chuckled about the uproar by some parents about teaching “evolution”.

She believes that there is a good reason to teach this subject, and it has nothing to do with denying God or anything else. But to teach how species adapt to environmental change.

I did like Bloomberg response to Bernie comments about Castro improving education:

Bloomberg tweeted:

"Fidel Castro left a dark legacy of forced labor camps, religious repression, widespread poverty, firing squads, and the murder of thousands of his own people.

But sure, Bernie, let’s talk about his literacy program. "

I don’t object to evolution being taught but the problem is that in many educational venues it is taught as absolute unquestioned settled science. The neo-Darwinists subscribe to a blind unguided process to account for the origin of life and the vast majority of them are atheists. They still have no answer as to how a blind unguided process could account for origins but unfortunately they control the biology departments at the majority of the universities in the USA. Nobody should question adaptation within species it has been observed and that is called micro evolution and is not controversial. Evolution should be taught but it shouldn’t be taught as unquestioned truth on the macro level which is that life originated from a single cell through random chance.

Thanks for the clarification… That makes sense what you said.

You are joking…why is civics not required and why is the Constitution not required for high school graduating seniors? Maybe it still is in Utah… the Department has a lot to do with curriculum throughout the country. Socialism, Darwinism and other leftwing beliefs are supported and developed through the Department of Education. We need more conservative capitalists deciding what the curriculums are going to be. In state and local governments as well. The 70 leftists run most of it and fill our kids heads full of their Aulinsky crapola.
As far as the expense of Universities. Main reason for the huge increase in college inflation is the government intervention into funding and loans. The more free education the more they pay the teachers. The more tuition andnother costs go up. And what do we get from it? More socialist radical youth voting for communists.

Bloomberg also refused to call the leader of China a dictator. He kept saying the Chinese polit bureau controls Hu of China. Nope!

because some idiot Capitalist convince some State school boards that they need to have more math and science classes to compete in the current global markets.
Since they only have so much time, the eliminated a lot of the civics, music, PE class requirements.

That trend began in 2001 with the Bush administration’s landmark No Child Left Behind Act (Which was passed by the GOP control Congress), which gives priority to federal funding for efforts to improve student performance in reading and math, skills that are considered fundamental to student success in the workplace.

The program continued under the Obama administration’s support for so-called STEM programs, which reward student achievement in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math.

Now you know…

Here is your issue Scott, The Department of Education DOES NOT dictate what is too be taught in schools. They help fund programs the local State Boards want to implement.

So where does the decisions as to WHAT and HOW subjects are taught in schools? It is done by your State Board of Education. That is the group responsible for removing Civics (usually at the request of some “committee” from the legislature or community).

That is why in Utah, Civic’s is an elective, and by your posts, I think it all together removed in California. That is also why Texas has a different standard than New York.

So if you want Civics back, you need to elect people who will reinstate it on your State Board of Education.

  1. Share with us President Bush’s exact statement that Civics should be an elective and not required. The clock is ticking
  2. In your statement you said the Federal Department of Education funds what state education departments want. Can the Dep. of Ed. say no? Can they require Civics with the other things states want to do?

Go look up “No Child Left Behind” standards.

I know you are not the smartest brick in the pile, but when there is only limited time for teaching, the Federal government (In this case NCLB) mandates certain courses be empathized, something has to give.

When requesting funding (usually for things like Title 1 Schools to get more teachers with ESL skills) the DoE can deny the request.

No, they can not, they leave that to the individual state boards to decide what they will and will not teach.

In the case of NCLB, Bush administration felt that american students were falling behind in Math and Sciences. So they created a standard that all schools must meet (dealing with highly qualified teachers, Subject matter test scores). If they do not meet those standards then the funding would be cut.

What Bush realized like many who have no real experience inside the education world, is that all things are not equal in education. Just because something worked in Texas does not mean that it would work in California. So the Bush Administration started to pull back a little and work with State Boards to come up with standards that meet NCBL, which Utah has and was excluded from doing NCBL.

What I find amazing with voters today, is they complain about public education. They research and do their due diligence when it comes to electing Governors, Senators, Representatives, etc. But then take no thought about who is running for their State and Local Boards.

If you want to help education and make it better, run for your state or local school board and get things changed. Because the School Boards are the real powers in States when comes to educaiton.

My one question is can the Department of Education withhold funds to states who don’t comply with their mandates that all graduating seniors must pass a civics class? Assuming they make the mandate or regulation. They can write their own federal regulations.

I still don’t see where a class for seniors in civics would cause a situation where math and science still can be taught. Therefore nothing has to give. There was nothing in the no left behind (wasn’t that for preschool and elementary) act that says Civics should and cannot be mandatory. The fact is, liberal progressives who have infiltrated even Utah don’t want the Constitution. That’s why it’s not mandatory when it should be.

The answer is “NO” they can’t, The standard for graduation is set by the State Board of Education in each State.

There is type of “Standard” that all States have agreed too follow (Not federally controlled) so that education in one state is comparative to another state education.

The issue is the amount of “Required” courses that is now mandated. It is not simply a math class or a science class. It is all the required classes basically pushing out electives like music, Art, Technical shops.

My daughter played in the orchestra up until her Junior year, but came the realization that she could not complete all the required course and take Orchestra. So she dropped orchestra.

I happen to agree with you not only about Civics not being taught, but people are complaining about the obesity of our youth, but yet, they cut Physical Education from Junior and High School from being a year long class to just a semester. You think that may have something to do it?

I don’t know what your school organization is up there. I did my student teaching at Dixon Junior High in Provo. When I went to High School, we had to have 2 years of math, years of English, 3 years of language, 4 years of History including Civics and 3 years of science. Electives were art, music (band, singing), wood shop, auto shop, agriculture, and a couple others. PE was 4 years of requirement. Don’t tell me you can’t squeeze Civics in. My brother did 4 years of math, science and band. He also played football and tennis. We were a public school and number 1 in the state. Not anymore. Prop. 13 wipes out PE, Art and other things.

After doing some reading up on the current purpose of the Dep. of Ed. and the history behind it, there is no doubt that if the Department wanted to regulate Civics they could. But they haven’t, yet.
