All of you have covered Retzlaff enough and as Tom says, he is in the rearview mirror now.
As most of you point out, he is very average and not a NFL talent. Check, but his familiarity with the receivers cannot be understated. They all knew each other so well, even an average QB would SMOKE a NFL talented QB if that NFL QB has little experience with the playbook and the receiver tendencies. So I had hoped for a big 12 championship and an invite to the playoffs-gone!
I’m not going to denigrate Jake for hiding the sex, it would shock you how many players at BYU are doing it on the low low. The only knock I have ever heard about Sitake is that he does not hold his star players feet to the fire, Hill DOES! This comes from players I personally know. Again, I don’t judge. I hope Jake’s dreams come true
and yes, I agree that he deceived a lot of people but these kids are kids and they are at the peak of their rut…When I got to the mission field, I was shocked at how many of my companions had been knocking boots and had the GA talks to go on their missions. I felt so Nieve.
